I cannot begin to describe the energy this place has. I took a four day course - Happiness and Silent Retreat with James Larson. The Teacher, Jim, was a wealth of knowledge. I came here with so much negative energy and by the time the course was done, I felt lighter at heart and in mind. I have a new look at life, a new understanding and definitely a new understanding. DO NOT PASS AN OPPORTUNITY TO COME UP HERE AND FIND YOUR TRUE SELF AND HAPPINESS! I recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to find their inner peace.

Perfect getaway & just what we needed. I enjoyed falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of nature (quiet wind, rustling trees, singing birds & sounds from a variety of species in the animal kingdom). I love that the food was all vegetarian, and there were vegan options for us. I ordered a vegan birthday cake for my husband; not only was it beautiful, but it taste amazing. It's so easy to achieve wellness there, walking along the trails and mountain roads, or just exploring whatever you can of the 380 acres, (I spotted several deer, rabbits, wild turkey....many more animals to see); and the Spa offers a variety of lifestyle & wellness programs....they're not just about massages and spa treatments. Also a great place for children to learn about and explore nature, and to learn about fitness, wellness & in general a healthy way of life. Try it for yourself. Words and photos won't ever be enough to express the magic of this place. Don't miss out on guided meditation sessions, yoga, the Kirtan meditation every evening, the amazing teas, the steam rooms, the relaxation room in the spa, the overall tranquility and the spectacular views. There's little to no cell reception, but you won't need it anyway.

Very beautiful place. It is close to nature. This place has regular meditation sessions and it makes one feel even closer to one's self. I definitely plan to come back here for a longer duration.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place and its staff are, but I'll do my best. I stayed here for a week during June of 2016. The location is incredible with a panoramic view of the mountains that makes you feel as though you could reach out and touch the next peak - the sunrise is amazing! The staff are incredibly attentive, accommodating, and kind, and it was clear to me that they all were ever conscious of creating a space that welcomed and allowed all their visitors to rest. It felt a bit like coming home after a long trip. And the food!!!! Now, I am not a vegetarian, but after eating the food I was so impressed that on my return home my family and I are moving in that direction rapidly. The trick is learning how to cook it, but we're working on it. I would recommend the Art of Living Retreat Center to anyone and everyone who is looking for a place to rest, rejuvenate, center, and reconnect with nature. I plan to bring my family there again soon so they can experience this amazing community. Keep up the good work!

Not going to lie, it was a bit of a strange place. I'm not big on yoga or meditation, but if you're into it, it seems like a good place for it. A bit too "Sri Sri" for me, but I went for a peaceful weekend away and for the spa, and those things happened. Next time, I'll get a B&B in town and utilize the spa again...but the hotel part was odd. It's large and spread out and it was completely dead when I was there. And much of it is outdated or abandoned. I ate alone (with employees) at the dining hall for almost every meal, which was fine by me, but I really felt like I was in a ghost town. The dining hall is enormous, and the view is wonderful, but it was just so... empty. Much of the food is good if you like Indian. I love Indian food but even I got tired of the same flavor. If you aren't there for the first half hour of the meal, it gets cold and stale, and if you're not up for Indian flavor, well... there's a smoothie. The customer service was great - I checked in to my room and the view was not very good, so I called to the front desk and she promptly and courteously switched me rooms to one with a better view. (Seemingly, the place was empty, right?) And the massage therapists were wonderful. The other employees I came across were certainly cheerful, too. The place definitely has wonderful employees and definite potential, but falls short a bit on appearance and atmosphere (for those of not super involved in the meditation/Sri Sri business, anyway).

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your recent stay with us. We welcome all comments and use them to help us continuously improve. We are a seasonal retreat center and our business levels do slow down over the winter months so it is sometimes very quiet (although many people are drawn to us for that very reason). We do have many buildings that you may think might be abandoned but, there are times when we have very large events of over 1000 people, and that is when we utilize those buildings. We appreciate all of your feedback and look forward to seeing you again, whether just at the Spa or if you decide to stay with us again.

I love this place! There is a peaceful energy here that draws me and I do plan to come back. However, I was a trifle bit disappointed at what happened to us today, at lunchtime. My husband and I reached there at 1:15 pm in time for lunch. After paying for lunch we were ready to eat. We surveyed the scrumptious spread ahead of us and decided to take small samplings of everything so we could figure out what it was that we would like to savor and eat Low and behold , when we came back for our second serving ( which would have been our meal) all the food had vanished. I was perplexed until my husband read the dining hours handout pasted on one of the walls of the sprawling dining area. The bottom line, is we paid $ 32 and were bereft of the meal that we were looking forward to. I wish the sweet girl who took our credit card payment would have informed us of the timings!!! I do intend to return but please be better with your customer service! Jai Gurudev!
