Damn, that's a good deal. My wife's been asking me to get her one, so she just got her wish.

Dropping the NFC chip has allowed the company to concentrate instead on coming up with a better slogan than the originally proposed "2015 flagship killer."
OnePlus has just announced its new flagship phone, and it went mostly as expected. Snapdragon 810? Check. 3300mAh battery? Check. Awkward fingerprint senso... by Ryan Whitwam in News, OnePlus, Two

Here's our hands-on with the +OnePlus 2.
I've never used a OnePlus One for more than a few minutes, and I've never really had much of a desire to (hey, just being honest). After hearing Artem's ma... by David Ruddock in News, OnePlus, Two

So the +OnePlus 2 has a 3-position hardware switch similar the iPhone to toggle between All/Priority/None notifications.

I understand the hardware is able to control and have the software stay in sync, but what happens if you switch in software? Then the hardware position will be misleading and useless.

And I'm all like...

So, no NFC. Worse, non-removable battery and no sd card. Another "flagship" for the "fashion before function" crowd. No, thanks.

+Nikos Chrisoulis Hey, if you're going to claim your phone is a flagship killer (at any price), you had better be able to check all of the boxes. If "Flagship Killer" meant a low price and missing specs then the Moto G would be a flagship killer....but it's not.

In case you hadn't noticed, we beat on every phone that doesn't deliver on its promises. This phone isn't special in that regard either.

And then I further found out that not only is there no wireless charging (that's not a big surprise), but also no QuickCharge 2.0 or any kind of quick charging on the +OnePlus 2, and I was all like...

$329/$389. 16/64GB. 3/4GB RAM. Hardware notification switch. Fingerprint reader. Reversible USB type C. Laser focus, OIS. Aluminum around the edges. 3 capacitive buttons (Home/Fingerprint/On and 2 you can configure) which you can turn off entirely.

It's way thicker than the OPO though. And a bit heavier.

I'm getting one, of course, and we'll help several hundred of you do the same in the next few days, if you want one (we'll have some invites to give away).

+Reed Johnson The Nexus 6 was announced in October I believe. The year before that the Nexus 5 was announced/released for purchase on the 31st of October so I would expect the same thing this year.
