Bellerin, Bellerout, shake it all about - Good morning to you. My routine for the last 10 years, at least, has always been the same. Wake up, make coffee, ‘do’ Arseblog. Over the years that has changed slightly, but not much. Part of that morning routine now involves checking in over at Arseblog News to see what comments are waiting moderation overnight. I deal with those in line with our comments policy. For example, if you use text speak, saying ‘u’ instead of ‘you’, ... http://ow.ly/2X8eVZ

Wilshere: I’m ready for first team action - Jack Wilshere says he’s ready to make his return to first team action after completing 90 minutes for the U21s in a 4-1 win over Stoke at the Emirates last night. The England midfielder has been out of action since November when a bad challenge damaged ankle ligaments, but he’s now made two appearances in the last week and is on his way back to full fitness. Speaking to the official site after the game, he said, “You can train... http://ow.ly/2X5kwf

Trio to get another U21 run-out - Having turned out for the U21s last week, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby will again feature for Steve Gatting’s side when they face Stoke City at the Emirates tonight. It’s the latest step on the comeback trail for the midfield trio with Arteta and Wilshere out since November, while Diaby has missed most of the last two seasons through thigh and knee injuries. The club also confirm that Serge Gnabry, who has missed a lot of ... http://ow.ly/2X2bEL

Olivier Giroud is quite good - Bank holiday greetings! And that concludes today’s blog. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time. Now I feel bad. I should write some more. Maybe one of those innovative, irascible ‘5 things we learned from smashing the Mugsmashers’ articles. Ok then. 1 – You cannot throw porcupines very far. 2 – A pineapple is, because of its prickly hide, quite a dangerous weapon. 3 – If a man is on a train travelling at 60mph heading south and another m... http://ow.ly/2WYbW8

Mertesacker hails impact of young stars - The frustration felt by many at the disappointing first part of the season led criticism of the team, manager and individual players. There were reasons, of course. The lack of pre-season for some players off the back of a World Cup summer, a dreadful imbalance in the squad which saw it top heavy with attacking players that were hardly used while we were crying out for defenders, and even simple things like players struggling fo... http://ow.ly/2X5yW5

At the end of the day, the club refused to pay asking price for players we needed. Sagna was also our 3rd CB with unhealthy Vermaelon. We have needed a DM for years & still do. Wenger gave a list & the club refused to pay even though they had the money. They knew players were exhausted from the World Cup. The BFG was the only healthy defender & grew weary which lead to big mistakes. If we would of made the purchases, we would not be 8 points off.
You have to refresh a squad yearly even if it's role players. Coquelin is our only DM. We need another DM with different qualities. We also need a wide player if Theo is not an option. Plus whatever outgoing moves the club makes.
I want to see us buy what we need at least once, complete the shopping list

Wilshere facing a big challenge on return to fitness - Morning all. There was some U21 action of interest last night as we beat Stoke 4-1 at the Emirates. Jack Wilshere and Serge Gnabry played the full game, Mikel Arteta for an hour, and there was 70+ minutes from Abou Diaby. A hat-trick from young striker Alex Iwobi helped Steve Gatting’s side come out on top, but from our point of view we’re looking at what the senior men did and what it means for the first team. Wher... http://ow.ly/2X4Zyr

We won’t catch Chelsea but there’s much to be positive about http://ow.ly/2X1xxT
So, we stay in second place in the Premier League after Man City got beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace last night. Pellegrini is so getting fired in the summer, and they’re an absolute shambles of a team right now. I didn’t see the game so can’t really comment on it

Boss and BFG big up Arsenal’s Belle boy - Arsene Wenger says Hector Bellerin’s goal against Liverpool is further proof the young right-back has a promising future at the Emirates. The Spaniard, who last week made his debut for his country’s under-21 side, capped a milestone week by kick-starting the Gunners’ 4-1 victory with his second goal of the season and by shackling the attacking intent of Raheem Sterling. While the boss acknowledges that Bellerin has room for impr... http://ow.ly/2WWjQp
