The question is, is it free? Not many quality iOS map programs are free
Probably a value-add to encourage people to shell out for .Mac... I mean MobileMe... I mean iCloud.
A price will not be that good for them...Google/Android is already offering free nav to users. Besides, they have tons of cash already so [in a perfect world] is not that much of a loss
I know +Conor Murphy but hey, dreaming doesn't cost anything :)
The crowdsourcing aspect of Google maps makes it inclusive. So little countries like Jamaica can map out their environs and access navigation, points or interest etc. If the typical apple approach perseveres (which it likely will), I'm sure this potentially fantastic mapping tech will only be available to countries in their limited im not interested in the least.
