I drew this Android Views lifecycle a while back for a presentation, seemed useful. Is there a more formal diagram like this to show View/ViewGroup lifecycle?

- , Thanks for the detailed discussion which sums up various important parts of views and their behaviour.
Recently I have been very curious and was keen to explore the overall behaviour of views.
As a part of this exploration, I came across a situation wherein the resources coupled to views (i.e. landscape or portrait or other configurations) seem to be nicely handled by android internally, which means the resources are correctly referred in terms of current state of the application.
This created a prime question regarding how does android happen to do this on a deeper level. If you could have/had any references regarding the internal behaviour of views and their referred resources, that would be of great help.
