[RESOLVED] Trying to boot Chromebook Pixel 2013 (Link) after flashing

Hi, I just flashed my Chromebook Pixel 2013 (Link) using flash_chromebook_rom.sh, trying to follow instructions from https://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2015/03/24/how-to-turn-the-chromebook-pixel-into-a-proper-developer-laptop/

I am near the end of the instructions, anticipating logging in as root and kexec'ing to continue installation. However I see the following screen, then it goes black and nothing more happens. (This is a screenshot from a video on my phone to capture the moment before it goes black.)

When it's black (but apparently still on, since the screen and keyboard are lit) I can only power it down by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.

I've tried hitting Esc (lots and lots) to get the boot menu and perhaps boot from USB, but it always follows the same sequence regardless.

Any suggestions? Worried I'm bricked.

I've used Verizon LTE on my Pixel since I got it. For $20/month I get 1 GB of data, and I've been able to manage my account using a button in the settings dialog. In the screenshot below, you can see that button has gone missing (if you're familiar with this dialog).

So I logged into verizonwireless.com using the phone number assigned to my Chromebook, and the password I've always used for the management dialog. That seems to show an $80 plan rather than the $20 plan I've had until now. See second screenshot below.

I've never looked on the verizonwireless.com site before, so I don't know if this represents a change or if it would have always shown this way, even though I actually only pay $20 per month. Does anybody have insight into this?

Oh, and without the button in the settings dialog, I also can't see how much data I've used. That information doesn't appear anywhere on the site that I can find. :-(

Has anybody tried hooking a Chromebook Pixel to a Dell UP2414Q?
