She's here! Spec. Tiffany Hoffer, our newest trumpet player, has just performed her first mission with the unit. Prior to joining the U.S. Army, Hoffer earned a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music, a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, and was an active freelancer in New York City.

We asked Spec. Hoffer what she thinks of things so far:
"This has been my dream job for years! I still can't believe that I'm here. It is an incredible privilege to be part of this unit and to sit alongside some of the most talented musicians I've ever met, doing what I love to do most. I am absolutely psyched to travel the country, share my craft, and tell America's story through music!"

"Coming from a military family, I think the most important part of our mission in the Army Field Band is to bring the Army story to the American people. I am happy to travel the country sharing my art and telling the stories of my father, grandfather, and all our brothers and sisters who have served this great nation."

Help us welcome one of our newest members, Staff Sgt. Erik Franklin! Prior to joining the Army Field Band in 2016, Erik held positions with the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic. He also served as interim Instructor of Woodwinds/Music History at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. He is the founder of The Novacane Quartet, an award-winning group discovering new avenues for art music in America. Every summer, he hosts the Indiana Clarinet Experience, a weeklong music camp in Brown County, Indiana.

A South Carolina native, Staff Sgt. Franklin earned a BM in clarinet from Furman University and MM in clarinet from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music`, studying with Howard Klug.
