Ian Dunt's book is on my reading list, adding this analysis of the Theresa May speech about her Brexit strategy (which I've only scanned so far) to it. Looks like interesting reading.
Theresa May is about to play chicken with the EU. It is a game she is likely to lose.

A lesser known loch on Islay
Surrounded by the low hills near Bridgend in the centre of Islay lies Loch Drolsay. Glen Drolsay stretching out into the distance.

I remember the hype around that one. And saying that it would almost certainly be illegal in many countries in Europe (not sure about the US). Well, I guess that's a moot point now.
Lily Robotics took $34 million in pre-order funding but never shipped a single drone.

I grew up about a mile or two from this thing. Well, it wasn't there when I grew up, it was built when I left Bremen to study in Oldenburg. I've seen it plenty of times when visiting my parents.

A video showing the power of the winter storms on Islay
As during every winter Islay is being battered by storms again. Donald and his dog Lady were visiting over Christmas, just as two storms were passing over. So Donald picked up his camera and went o…

May be I'm missing the imagination or the "vision", but what's the point of this? What is there to mine on the Moon that you can't mine on Earth a thousand or even a million times cheaper?
Moon Express — the California-based company with hopes of mining the Moon someday — has received full funding for its first trip to the lunar surface, slated for later this year. The company just...

A developing Islay sunset
At this point the Sun was still hiding behind the cloud, but it became much more visible for a colourful sunset in Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay later.

Some Islay visitors
Seen from somewhere on the High Road, a flock of (I think Barnacle) Geese high above Blackrock and the top of Loch Indaal.

I blog about the Isle of Islay, Scotland, and live in Aldermaston Wharf, West Berkshire
Introduction
Born in Bremen, Germany, went to university in Oldenburg, Germany. Then had enough of Germany and moved to the UK (after a year in the US while at uni). At some point visited Islay in Scotland which I now blog about. Even though I currently live in Aldermaston Wharf in West Berkshire (which is in England).
