Now we have G+. Thanks to these great developers. Imagine what our grandchildren will have.
William Wurtz, Ph.D. originally shared:

Because creativity happens every day and in every field of human endeavor, and because we stand on the shoulders of giants, we remember December 12th as the day in 1901 that Guglielmo Marconi demonstrated that radio signals could be transmitted across the Atlantic. Many scientists at the time questioned whether this was possible given the earth's curvature, assuming that radio waves went out in a straight line. Marconi's optimism and steady trial-and-error approach proved them wrong. As he said, “Every day sees humanity more victorious in the struggle with space and time.”

Read more about this remarkable accomplishment at the link -- and ponder how miraculous this is when you use your cell phone today.

Draw inspiration from Marconi's achievement and use your creativity to create something miraculous today.

It is interesting to compare the graph of interest paid to a bank and the graph of the water flowing into the cistern of a toilet after it is flushed. If the value of water is equivalent to a dollar, then one would think twice before flushing that toilet.

The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics for all of us:

Let us see if we can apply this to our lives. Let me start-

1) My daughter drives out of the garage. It was her first attempt and hits the wall. I say to her, "Don't worry, my darling, remember the 2nd Law of thermodynamics."

Frog Leap Game Revisited

A while ago I got interested in the Frog Leap Game as published on the site:
http://brainden.com/crossing-river.htm

John S. Gray of the University of Hartford published this paper that helped me develop an algorithm that could be used to solve this game:
http://helios.cs.hartford.edu/~gray/JSG10/ShuttlePaper.pdf

Here is the algorithm:

For i= 1 to N
(move a frog forward to an empty stone to allow i
frogs of the opposite color to jump in the opposite
direction)
(i frogs jump starting from the one facing the frog
that moved above)
End for
For i= N to 1
(move a frog forward to an empty stone to allow [i-1]
frogs of the same color to jump in the same
direction)
([i-1] frogs jump starting from the first one behind
the frog that moved above)
End for

I shared this with my engineering colleagues, but no one got it. Let's see if you are smarter than them.

I found this logic puzzle from the site:
http://brainden.com/crossing-river.htm
called Frog Leap Game.

Couldn't solve it... Gave up and looked at the solution below.
