Quick and dirty photosphere from my evening walk down in the greenbelt. Nice breeze, warm sun, rustling grass and leaves and the smells of spring. Very "in the moment" moment.
Astronaut Chris Hadfield tweeted this picture from orbit yesterday, showing Canada's St. Lawrence river glowing in the sunlight. But my eye was drawn to the gigantic circular feature to the right: the Manicouagan crater, the 100-km-wide site of an ancient asteroid impact.
