Once again developed by the awesome Ben Pirt, you can now pre-order version 2 of the Mirobot for delivery in November 2015. Just in time for Christmas!

OpenSTEM uses the Mirobot turtle with students in primary schools doing soldering, assembling and introduction to programming, so we’re very happy to recommend this.

If you want a Mirobot before November and are in Australia, head over to our Mirobot v1 in OpenSTEM web store.

And if you’re interested in our school workshops, please contact us!

If cuts to science funding go ahead, what will we miss out on? It's crucial we save science from these cuts.

Interesting.

"Software Engineering" is an oxymoron.
I always find it rather interesting when academics try to quantify generalized metrics about software development. Things like: per lines of code, there will be X number of bugs. Statements like: it has been empirically proven that “blah” affects the development of software in some way “blah.” These are all interesting thoughts, but software development will never conform to rigid engineering principles like many other engineering practices.  The...

Very friendly, but not on the case. Disorganised and not up with current technology, doesn't acknowledge mistakes (nor works to fix them).
