Arizona pain specialist are really worse doctors, nurses and staff. Doctors never listen to you, make sarcasm. You can never get early appointment. Doctors and nurses never return your phone calls. Even if there's an emergency, operator just transfer to nurse station voice mail and never get call returned. In an emergency, you just have to then decide on your own and go to the nearest ER. You will never have one doctor and gets shuffled. Your own doctor which you see originally 2 or 3 times in beginning, never sees you again. You still consider his patients, but several other doctors see you then. Everyone has their own stories. In my case, in the beginning, Dr. Nicholas Scott saw me and ordered epidural shots for my lower back and cervical, and then referred me to Neurologist. After that I was passed to Dr. Daniel O'Connor who just referred me Neurosurgeon who was one of their own staff Dr. Jacob Amrani. Bam! There I was told that I will have a surgery for neurostimulator. They just wanted to make money from me as much as could. I found out from someone that I should ask the doctor for nerve block. Dr. O'Connor said oh yea we could do that. Then he ordered EMG for my arms and hands. Nerve block for my cervical was ordered. I was already told by the staff of my EMG test results. Just to make money Dr. O'Connor's assistant called me that Dr. O'Conner cancelled the nerve block scheduled for my cervical that I have to make an appointment to see him to review EMG test results which I was already told is normal and no nerve damage. I visited him and nothing was done and in office explained me the same thing that EMG Test is normal. He made sarcasm when I explained about my pain shooting. I have suffered a lot by Arizona Pain Specialist where I am already in pain. Staff is so rude. Receptionist was threatening to cancel my appointment with doctor. I was requesting sooner appointment. She got angry on me and threatening to cancel the appointment that I already had. When we make appointment, then receptionist said that we have small opening, but can't give to you because you guys need longer appointment. That's a lie!! The staff, nurse, and doctors make us wait very long. First, we sit in lobby for almost an hour. Then assistant takes us in the room, take vitals. Then we wait almost an hour for PA (Physician Assistant) to show up. PA only stays 5 minutes in the room. After that wait almost an hour again for a doctor to show up. Doctor comes, stays in room, maximum 2 minutes. Now about billing sucks as well. I had provided primary and secondary insurances. Only billed the primary and sending me the bill with remainder balance. Every month, I was getting the bill and every month I would call them to straighten up. I would hang up the phone believing that is now taking care of. It never had. After 4 or 5 bills, dared to sent me threatening letter of sending the bill to collection agency. I called my insurance company and gave them the account number, and insurance company stated they have never received the claim. Insurance agent made the conference call and dealt with them. Next time received the billing manager call, and she was arguing with me. I asked her to check the email the agent escalated yesterday. Finally, it was taking care of. Oh boy! I am really exhausted. In the end, I am very happy that I have fired the Arizona Pain Specialist. I have new doctor now.

WENT THERE FOR SEVERAL YEARS,NEVER REALLY ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING SUCCESSFUL OTHER THEN ALOT OF TALK & MY POCKET GETTING EMPTIED W/ COPAYS,ONLY SEEN A DOCTOR A FEW TIMES EXCEPT WHEN THEY WANTED TO STICK A NEEDLE IN ME THAT EITHER DIDN'T WORK OR WORKED A VERY SHORT TIME...THEY SAY THEIR SOME OF THE BEST,I DIDN'T SEE THAT OR FEEL IT!!!!! SEEMED TO ME THAT THEY FELT MORE MONEY IN QUICK FIXES THEN TRY TO REALLY TRY TO CURE THE PROBLEM. MATTER OF FACT,JUST GOT A RECENT BILL FROM THEM FOR LAST 3 VISITS...WAS THERE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME,RECEIVED THE SAME SERVICES(PRESCRIPTION REFILLS)BUT THE BILL WAS DIFFERENT AMOUNTS FOR EACH APPOINTMENT!!!! 1THING TO ADD,THE RECEPTION STAFF WAS USUALLY EXCEPTIONAL WITH ME @ BOTH OFFICES THAT I USED.

The only redeeming quality of this office was that I have a trained Psychologist to speak to about my pain and never received any medical care for my pain and they didn't want to continue the pills I was on from my previous pain doctor that worked very well I am a achy and in discomfort all the time the doctor didn't want to take any time to discuss anything and had an attitude because I didn't want to take his new pills that he prescribed.

I wish I could give NO stars! This clinic has the most disgusting level or lack there of for customer service I have ever encountered! The front desk has to be the rudest group of women I've ever seen. Constantly rescheduling my appointments- a couple times I've been 1 minute late or 4 minutes late (even though expected to wait for 30 mins or more past every appointment) and have been sent away. Or as in this most recent time they rescheduled my appointment for 3 hours after my original one without even telling me as I was sitting in the waiting area! The doctors are not much better- they have made me feel as if being a young woman that suffers from Chronic pain after a back surgery is something I should just deal with. They are only interested in doing procedures that cost me thousands out of pocket even though I've told them I've done these procedures for years with no improvement. There is not compassion, they run this place like a mill In hopes of gouging paitents for every dime. Oh and they love to pitch there spinal chord stimulator, and if you don't feel comfortable have forgiegn objects shoved in your back and spine then you must not want help. This trial is very new- and no guarantee it will work. At one point I had one of the ladies at the front desk shout out what medications I was on in front of all their other paitients in the waiting area. Can we say major Hippa violation. Please read the comments on here as mine is pretty similar to everyone else's complaints. If you want to be treated with respect, after pain that you are suffering I'm sure has already beaten you down mentally and physically the DONT COME HERE!!!! A word of advice to this clinic, make your staff go through specialized training to deal with those who suffer from chronic pain due to degenerate and debilitating diseases such as most of us have who come to clinics like this. Don't you realize we already have it hard enough!!!

Worst staff I have ever seen. Waited over an hour for an appointment I made over a month ago. When i asked about the wait the front staff was so rude. I finally just asked for my copay back so I could find a doctor who really cares. Its scary when your sitting in the waiting room listening to horror stories before you are ever seen. If you are 5 minutes late for your check in time (not your appointment) they will reschedule you. Seems like they just treat the symptoms not the problem. And will find the best way to charge you not treat you.

I can't say enough about the care that I have been given. From the very first phone conversation I knew that the experience at Arizona Pain would be great......and I was correct. The staff has been exceptional. Dr Scott has explained the steps needed to reach the end result of being pain free and I am on track for that process. This has all been a very positive experience. Funny, but I look forward to my next appointment...

I have had four visits with Arizona Pain, and I'm already feeling incredibly better. I have been incredibly impressed with the staff, their honesty and easy process of dealing with my insurance company. I'm looking forward to my upcoming visits. My doctor is thorough and my back has felt much better just after two weeks!
