2.145 Troy Ounce Alaskan Natural Gold Nugget Bullion Collectors Specimen GLD006. This Alaskan gold nugget is very unique due to it's large size and weight. Collector grade gold nuggets in these sizes are extremely rare and Alaskan gold nuggets like this one are the most desirable. Whether you display this piece for it's natural beauty, or put it away as an investment, you will love the feel of this heavy gold nugget in your hand. As seen in the photos this nugget does have quartz and possibly black tourmaline host rock.

This wonderful natural gold nugget specimen was found by myself using a metal detector in Alaska. The weight of the nugget is 2.145 troy ounces (66.72 grams) and it measures 1-7/8 x 1 x 5/8 inches (48 x 26 x 16 mm). This Alaskan gold nugget would be a great addition to anyone's mineral collection and I guarantee that it is a 100% real Alaskan gold nugget.

I found this large natural Alaskan gold nugget at the Moore Creek mining property, near McGrath, Alaska, using a Minelab GP 2200v2 metal detector. It was located in tailing piles from the old mining operation and represents the type of gold lost by old-time inefficient mining recovery systems. Gold can be bought by anyone at just over market price in the form of ingots or coins. Gold nugget specimens are not just gold, but natural gemstones worth it's own uniqueness. The value of a natural gold nugget is related to it's overall appearance, general rarity, and the price of gold on the current markets. The vast majority of gold nuggets ever found have been melted down and are lost forever, making large natural gold nuggets rarer than diamonds. Alaska gold nuggets are particularly rare, as few gold mines are in operation that produce this kind of gold and make it available to the public.
