Arild Vollan is the CEO of Arctic Green Seafood. He has in-depth knowledge of fishing activities in the High North. He's from Northern Norway, born in a family of fishing-vessel owners. Both his grandfather and his great grandfather were fishermen in the north. For many years Mr. Vollan has worked closely with the fishing industry on Andørja and the surrounding area. Arctic Green Seafood is a company that specializes in the sale of seafood to China and other Asian countries. At the same time, the company is working closely with Chinese companies in the establishment of new supermarkets, with marketing and promotion of Norwegian seafood to the domestic market in China.
Arild Vollan is Founder and Managing Partner in Arctic Development AS, a company based in Vardø with office also in Oslo. Arctic Development AS specialize in cross border advisory and services, - joint venture, mergers and acquisitions, as well as new market entry strategies and executions. During the past years, Arild Vollan has worked extensively with the axis surrounding China/Russia and the High North - Barents Region developing areas. With commercial projects, corporate establishments, legal advice and legal studies - strategic consulting and operational implementation, marketing, political communication, corporate communications/political processes, crisis management and media management.
Arild Vollan has a broad experience in project developments and management related processes. Following an extensive career, he has previously worked for United Nation (NY), UNICEF (Africa), Government posts in Norway, Project Manager in Lillehammer Olympics, Head of Information at the Norwegian State Railways, Editor in Chief (Kommunal Rapport/Oslo) and Journalist (Dagbladet/Oslo). He has been awarded the Honorary Scientific Order «Cross Merit With Crown» - An Honorary Order of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for his scientific work with the development of cross-border cooperation between Russia and Norway.
By education, Arild Vollan is specialized in Development Sociology, with additional extensive studies and work in developing countries (Africa). He also has a bachelor degree in journalism and communications from the University of Oslo.
He has been and is a key advisor to several major companies.
