Wow.  +Electronic Frontier Foundation is decidedly backward in their labor practices:  "based in EFF's office in San Francisco, CA" and "Inquiries about whether this job can be done remotely or part-time will not be answered."  There is no good reason for this attitude in this century.

No thanks, EFF, if you don't trust your employees then you are too top-down for me to consider further.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, is looking for a full-time activist to fight for free speech, innovation, encryption, and privacy. If you are passionate about technology, dedicated to its role in building a better future and want to work alongside leaders in the field, this dream job is for you!

Sad, because you were one of the places I was considering.

From the details here this seems to be a very RED-tanic (old-testament-thumpers wishing to take away free will JUST LIKE Satan was said to have wanted) trend.

The criminalization of pregnant women continues
The case is a disturbing example of overly broad laws that essentially criminalize pregnancy.

I have undertaken something that scares me at work.  I'm standing up for what is right in a situation that is wrong.  I'm putting the immediate well-being of me, my wife and that which is "us" at stake to do so.  I believe the goals and motivations are "pure" (as much as possible with ordinary humans, maybe?)  I'd like to ask for all those who believe in any form of well-wishing (keeping us in your thoughts, prayers, meditation, magic(k)) who believe (without details I can't share) who believe I am truly a "Love your neighbor" kind of man to please send us your positive energy and support.  (You don't even have to say anything to me about it if you wish.)

In the future, when this is settled, I'll talk about it.  Look for my memoirs in the coming decades!  (I am determined to get back to writing.)

"I get it now. Your network launched in 1996, you're 18 years old. Just like every other 18-year-old, you have a massive ego and spend 24 hours a day jerking yourself off." -- Jon Stewart

A heads up from Jim Hightower!
A sham "progressive" coalition is pushing a wage-destroying scam.

Worth considering while we wait for the written verdict (due within 90 days) - this article has some of the reasons I was finally highly doubtful about the Knox conviction even though initially I was sure she was guilty.

http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Global-News/2015/0328/Amanda-Knox-Why-was-her-murder-conviction-overturned
Amanda Knox acquitted: The eight-year legal drama surrounding the killing of British student Meredith Kercher in 2007 has ended in an acquittal.

The ineptitude of the investigators is clear. Whatever the case, I hope justice has been served rightfully for Meredith. And for Amanda if she is, in fact, not guilty of this crime. Something tells me, though, that there's more to this story. We may never know.

Story
Tagline
I am a figment of my imagination.
Introduction
I am a Seattle native born in Los Angeles by mistake.  I love interesting (short of deadly) weather - featureless blue skies are not interesting, give me some clouds.  I prefer cooler weather, 70 is my ideal top temperature.  I work in IT until such time as I can transition to writing and photography.
Bragging rights
I enjoy hotter food than almost anyone I know.
