Only 3 Stars for mostly that terrible bed(way too hard and wrapped in plastic causing the worst nite sweats! There are NO blackout drapes sooo basicly had the street lights glowing in my room the whole night (they only have shutters on the windows and they do not block nothing!) Ohhh and let's not forget the disgusting room service food(ordered a Louie Salad I swear I smelled the fish before it arrived into the room!) I was charged 96.00 for a salad (yuck) flat Fiji water and a bottle of sparkling water! The location (right on Fisherman's Wharf) is awesome if thats your final destination , the staff(especially the Doormans & Valet guys)were AWESOME and the winebar were top rate, but c'mon they charge $7.95 for 15minutes of internet use, plus $1.50 per page to print your ticket!😲 Sadly I will not be coming back on my next SF trip! Lesson learned!

The black doorman 'donovan' is a bloods gang and evil guy who stalks hot women. All the kimpton hotels in SF have bloods gang doorpeople. Awful.

A quirky and unique hotel with a nautical theme. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were great and helpful with any and all requests. A real experience!

other than the hotel reaking of cigarette smoke, at least the floor we stayed on, it was generally good. Except for just not bringing our room service breakfast order, which is a card you put on your door the night before and they bring breakfast to your door which is a generally good idea, and left us on hold for over 15 minutes until we had to go to the manager. Over an hour past the time it was supposed to come when she told us they CANCELLED it. We did not cancel the order, the kitchen did without our knowledge. We found this out at around 9:30, our reservations, the reason we got room service in the first place, was at 8:30. Needless to say we missed those and had to cough up the money. Only reason I'm giving them two stars is because they did eventually gave us a quick meal at the restaurant, but would've much more preffered not to miss our ACTUAL dining reservations from the rudeness and disorderliness of the staff.

very enjoyable stay. Nice large room overlooking the golden gate bridge. Room was very quite despite the very touristy location of the hotel

Convenient location, nice staff and nice rooms. Pretty pricey though, and nothing is complimentary. Also, the coffee in the room is absolutely HORRIBLE. Powdered creamer and I even used the small $3.50 bottled water in the room to try to make it taste better and I still couldn't drink it. With a Starbucks across the street I guess the hotel got lazy and felt they didn't need to bother with it or something. That's the impression I got. Be prepared to get dressed and walk out into the cold and cross the street every day if you need a decent cup of coffee in the morning. That got old real quick. Annoying, considering how much you pay to stay there.

We are staying at the Argonaut Hotel for a family vacation and it is beautiful. The entire place is classy and clean. It is within easy walking distance to all the warf activities. The attached restaurant is fabulous and the food is second to none. The Argonaut is now our go to spot for San Francisco vacations.
