Appogee Leave has long been known for its great integration with the Google Apps environment.  Last week we launched improved integration for Office 365 users, including an Add-in for Microsoft Outlook which provides the ability to approve or reject absence requests without leaving the Outlook environment.  It also introduced Single Sign on capability to Appogee Leave for Office 365 users.

We're excited to be able to bring this new capability to new and existing Appogee Leave customers, and look forward to providing more enhancements in the coming months.

Its been a long time coming, but we're thrilled to have finally been able to launch our full HR management system.  All of the goodness of Appogee Leave is there, plus a whole lot more - checklists to support routine or ad-hoc workflow, compliance acknowledgements of company policies, list and org chart views for your company directory, user and manager self-service to name but a few.

"We've found that getting that balance right, ensuring staff are provided with all of the support required, whilst maintaining compliance and control over HR can be a challenge for organizations," commented David McLeman CEO of Appogee. "We're therefore delighted to be able to launch Appogee HR into the market, and help companies better manage their HR information. It's an easy to use and intuitive application giving employees control over their profile, and providing managers and HR with that all important oversight and access to key information."

"The launch of Appogee HR was a natural progression for us," explains McLeman. "Appogee Leave has 700 customers, and over 50,000 users in more than 45 different countries. The new product expands our original Leave offering and enables greater flexibility, transparency and control of HR management for businesses."

Appogee Leave has been available in French and Spanish for users and managers for some time now.  We're just putting the finishing touches to Appogee Leave set up, administration and configuration in French and should be releasing that in early November.

Remember if you want Appogee Leave available natively in another language you can contribute to the effort through our translation crowdsourcing page at http://goo.gl/4HF21

But if you can't wait to get Appogee Leave in your specific language, here's the way to do it with (almost) no effort.  Simply install the Google Chrome extension for Google Translate.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-translate/aapbdbdomjkkjkaonfhkkikfgjllcleb

With the extension loaded you can now open AppogeeHR from your Apps Launcher (or navigate to leave.appogeehr.com) and choose to translate the page into the language of your choice.

Google do provide options to allow us to make use of this translation functionality automatically, but we're aware that doesn't always result in a usable result.  We'd love to hear your experiences of using it and whether you'd like to see us build this in to Appogee Leave so it automatically makes use of Google Translate for languages other than English, French and Spanish.

We have just released the latest update of Appogee Leave, version 8.5 which features an improved setup process for new trialists.

The new setup process introduces the Quick Start Wizard which guides the trialist through the main building blocks of Appogee Leave. They would be ready to make requests and configure advanced options after just a few steps.

Appogee Signatures v2.2 will be rolling out over the next couple of days.
With this release we are providing:

- support for the updated version of the Google Apps Marketplace which includes a more refined security model.
- an update to the embedded WYSIWYG editor which helps you build your signature templates
- an update to the technology platform we use to improve performance
- a change to ensure all address fields can be included in conditional statements in signature blocks

The marketplace update will result in an email to domain administrators asking for a re-grant of application permissions to ensure Appogee Signatures continues to synchronize data with your Google Apps domain.

Newest version of Appogee Leave has just gone live.  This update contains a completely revised setup process and a host of minor improvements:

+ Following feedback from users we've switched back to a fixed width screen presentation.  This has help us make the display "responsive" so it adapts much better to different screen sizes.

+ To make it easier for occasional users of Appogee Leave we've introduced an Overview page to make it easy to get started or get a refresher on the app.

+ We've updated the process process for adding new users so you can now import Google Apps users by Organization Unit (OU).

+ We've removed licensing incentives which caused confusion for users and instead introduced a new Micro licensing band for domains of 10 users or fewer.

+ We've switched the hosting domain for Appogee Leave away from the default "appspot.com" that you get with Google App Engine so we're now using "leave.appogeehr.com"

+ Finally we've removed the necessity to have a Google Apps domain in order to use Appogee Leave, and introduced support for iCal calendar and Public Holiday updates.

The Google Apps launcher - where you find links to our Appogee apps - is now (or very soon will be, as its rolling out over the next couple of weeks) customizable.  So you can move the icons you use most up to the top.  Good news indeed!
