Bed & Breakfast
Welcome to Applewood Manor! We are located in the Historic Montford District, just a short walk from downtown Asheville, NC. We hope you'll let us be your hosts for your next vacation!

We believe in privacy and intimacy, which is why we have kept the common areas on the first floor so open and large. We want you to find your private spot to reconnect and relax; so luxuriate in the formal dining room or parlor as well as the large living room and the many common area porches and balconies.

Our goal is to tailor your visit to your wishes and by doing so we hope to make your stay special. When you arrive we want you to kick off your shoes, put your feet up and make yourselves at home. Let us make you feel you have traveled back to a time when your happiness and comfort was our sole purpose in life.

Check in and unwind from your travels with a complimentary social hour beverages & treats in a rocker on one of five porches. If you’d like, we’ll help you plan your next day’s adventures of climbing Mt. Mitchell (the highest peak east of the Mississippi) or taking a train ride through the Smoky Mountains. Maybe we can help you plan a day of whitewater rafting/kayaking, hiking to view a multitude of natural waterfalls, or a visit to one of many local historical attractions of Asheville, “Land of the Sky”. We are just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore House and a short walk to downtown Asheville.

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday. We felt like we were staying at a friend's house. All the little touches really made for an enjoyable stay. They left a little potted plant in our room with a birthday card for me. Loved the afternoon snacks, turn down service with chocolates on the bed, delicious homemade breakfast every morning that included a homemade bread and homemade granola. Room amenities galore. Huge antique soaking tub. The BEST Bed & Breakfast. No other place we've ever stayed compares. Thank you, Larry and Nancy!

Just wanted to do a shout out to Larry and Nancy. Got an opportunity to stay at their place this past week and it was incredible - the hospitality and the breakfast - left a great impression on my wife and I. Highly recommend this B&B.

I did my research before selecting Applewood Manor, and I am glad that we chose this one! The house and grounds were lovely, the room was great, the hosts were very welcoming and genuine. The breakfast was phenomenal! The location is great, also. If we come to Asheville again, we will definitely stay here!

Wonderful! The house, owners, and staff were welcoming, easy going but professional, and quick to make you feel right at home. I would suggest Applewood Manor to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in the NC mountains. The location was convenient as far as parking, a beautiful walk to downtown, and easy to have to dogs.

Applewood Manor Inn Bed & Breakfast was amazing. My wife and I stayed there and were delighted at how beautiful the home is and how accommodating Nancy and Larry are to their guest's needs. Both inside and outside were exceptionally relaxing. From the moment we walked in and saw everything, we knew it would be a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The Innkeepers deeply care about their guests. Every detail ... From food allergies for their 3-course breakfast offerings to ensuring guests get an opportunity to get to know each other to the snacks they provide during the wine hour to every comfort in the guest room or recommendations for restaurants or activities in the area, the innkeepers are mindful of every single detail. Nancy and Larry are consummate hosts who are committed to ensuring their guests have a good time. I highly recommend Applewood Manor bed-and-breakfast.
