How much will it cost me?
For information regarding cost, please refer to the 'Price' section of our website.

Will I need to undress for treatment?
During your treatment sessions, we may require you to partially undress so that we can carry out a thorough assessment. Loose and comfortable clothing is recommended. We respect individuals' dignity and privacy at all times and a chaperone is welcome (a parent or guardian is essential for under 16's). If you would prefer to be treated by a male/female therapist please let us know.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact us 24 hours prior to the session. If you fail to do so you may be charged the full rate of a treatment session. Failure to give cancellation notice will result in the full charge of a treatment session. Please note, if your treatment is covered by private health insurance or a medical legal company, these charges may not be covered and you may be liable.

I have difficulty getting to the clinic, are home visits available?
Home visits are available on request. We treat people at their homes for a variety of reasons including mobility problems and transport difficulties. Please contact us for further information.

Do I need to be referred by my GP?
You may undergo physiotherapy treatment without consulting your doctor.
However, there may be occasions when we recommend communication with your doctor or consultant in the interest of your condition. This will be discussed with you prior to any commincation being made.

Are you registered with private health insurance companies?
Currently, we are registered with all major medical insurers including BUPA, AXA PPP, Standard Life and Aviva (formerly Norwich Union).

How do I know that I am being treated by a qualified physiotherapist?
All physiotherapists must be registered with either the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or the Health Professions Council by law in order to practice. You can check if your physiotherapist is registered on the HPC website. What this means is that all physiotherapists are governed by a professional code of conduct and that treatment is covered by professional liability insurance.

How do I know if physiotherapy will benefit my condition?
Physiotherapy can benefit a broad range of conditions (see the 'Treatments' page for some of the conditions we can treat). However, should our experienced physiotherapist feel that treatment is not appropriate for your condition, you will be informed at the initial assessment. Depending on the nature of the problem, we may be able to offer you advice on the next step. We have excellent relationships with local GP's, consultants and other health professionals who may be able to assist your condition. We can also request scans, x-rays and injections where necessary.

Personal injury lawyers and insurance companies must consider rehabilitation at the beginning of every claim in order for rehabilitation to be most effective for the patient, and cost effective for the insurer. Unfortunately, long waiting lists in the current national health care system mean that patients aren't always treated quickly enough and their return to work is delayed. At Apex Physiotherapy we provide immediate, easy and cost-effective access to assessment and treatment in order to rehabiliate our patients as quickly and effectively as possible.

We liaise directly with personal injury lawyers and provide comprehensive medical-legal reports. We use our experience, knowledge and skills to provide individual return-to-work programmes using a holistic approach.
