Millan’s trick secret to staying healthy

We do not live in a perfect world.  Those of us who eat plant base, 80% raw and 20% cooked will sometimes slip and perhaps eat a vegetarian pizza for example. Hopefully it's rarely, none the less it happens.  I have discovered a trick that keeps me healthy in spite of my slips.  Here is my story. 

I went to NY  years ago with my then fiancé, to visit his Italian parents during the holidays.  I knew I would eat the Italian cookies which I had eaten as a child.  I took my super aloe, 3 capsules a day while I was there for the 5 day visit.  I came home 5 lbs slimmer than when I left. I am not making scientific claims however I will say this:  I theorize that it moves these unhealthy foods very quickly through my digestive system as to do less damage, possibly my immune challenge as well.  In other words I pooped these bad foods out very quickly instead of lodging in my system doing further damage.

Note: Please do not do this on a regular basis.  I don’t believe that is a healthy choice.  Only during holidays etc. My super aloe product is not a laxative but aloe vera, therefore does not damage the colon as do laxatives.

HOW TO BREAK A FAST

It will always be a different approach depending on how long you fast. For example, if you fast for 7 days, you want to break you fast with fruits and veggies. The next day, add grain, legumes, nuts and seeds.

If you fast long, for example for 2 weeks, you want to eat fruits and veggies for 2 days, then add grain, legumes, nuts and seeds. If you know me, I am an advocate of plant base so I won't add animals, including eggs, cheese except raw organic goat milk or cheese sparingly.

I recommend fasting for 24 hours once a week for optimal health. This is how I do it. At 11 AM, I eat a hearty meal to feel comfortably full. Perhaps corn, potato with greens. At 5 PM, make a veggie brother, 1 mug will do. I use organic better than bouillon. Next AM, drink something hot in the morning as it starts the digestive system moving and there you will have a healthy bowel movement. What a wonderful way to start your day!!! Be sure to drink at least 2 liters of water during the day. You may drink organic green juices or smoothies.
