The Trans-Help Foundation’s website opens with a straight, lonely stretch of tarmac in the Australian desert and these words stretched across the road: “You are not alone. From Bourke to Timbuktu, we are there for you.” It’s a poignant message for an industry that has high levels of mental and physical health issues and more than its fair share of accidents.

ANZIIF Rising Stars speaker Adam Hines hopes participants at the upcoming event will gain a greater respect for the opportunities available in our industry, and realise the easy road isn’t always the best option.

Adam Hines thinks establishing his own insurance broking firm, Aether Insurance & Risk, is by far his best achievement.

‘I’m proud of it because I had thought about it for so long,’ Hines says, ‘and now having taken the risk and put in long hours to establish the business, I’m starting to see signs of it going in the right direction.’
