I have talked with a few startup founders from Seattle and they all tell me they enjoy the heads down time and feel really focused not being in the craziness of the valley. They also say they feel like they have a better relationship with their customers or users because they don’t feel like they are building a “valley driven product” or product influenced by the environment that only survives in that bubble.

Some really interesting points here. Anyone lived in both places have any comments on this? Since I've only lived in Seattle I only have that perspective but I've heard things like this article all the time over here from people that left the valley for Seattle.

"I have absolutely not doubt in my mind that most of these individual Angels and crowd funders are currently under water in their investments. Absolutely none. I say most. The percentage could be higher. Why? Because there is ZERO liquidity for any of those investments. None. Zero. Zip."

I don't agree with everything here but it's an interesting stance from someone who really does understand the industry.
Ah the good old days. Stocks up $25, $50, $100 more in a single day. Day trading was all the rage. Anyone and everyone you talked to had a story about how they had made a ton of money on such and such a stock. In an hour. Stock trading millionaires were being minted by the week, if not sooner. You couldn’t go anywhere without people talking about the stock market. Everyone was in or knew someone who was in. There were hundreds of companies that we...

+Kit McLean What I saw is this: "I really didn't like this product but please Apple don't blacklist me or my site!"  This is the kind of garbage reporting that websites are forced to do because Apple can't handle criticism. "Give us a bad review? Fine, good luck getting a review unit for the next iPhone."

One thing I really miss on Android is how you can replace basically anything that comes out of the box with something that fits your needs. Most of my IRL friends live on Facebook which means I use Facebook Messenger and make calls through Messenger constantly. Having a separate dialer for the latter would be ideal but this would never be possible on my iPhone.
After popping up in a leak several weeks back, Facebook's Android dialer app has been released in the Play Store. Rather than going with the generic and co... by Ryan Whitwam in Applications, News, Videos

I can't bring myself to read "businessinsider" dribble. A lot of time, their articles are as bad as iVerge. To much bias for me
