It's bit strange

I don't know how I missed this but this is just awesome and for only 50 cents.

Manu Prakash: A 50-cent microscope that folds like origami | Talk Video | TED.com
Perhaps you’ve punched out a paper doll or folded an origami swan? TED Fellow Manu Prakash and his team have created a microscope made of paper that's just as easy to fold and use. A sparkling demo that shows how this invention could revolutionize healthcare in developing countries … and turn almost anything into a fun, hands-on science experiment.

This right here Air Force perfecting artificial muscles and the Navy pushing out laser guns, the future is here.

#ThrowbackThursday  2000s | AFOSR-funded Research Leads to New Type of Artificial Muscle (2005-present) | Dr. Ray Baughman, director of the NanoTech Institute at +University of Texas at Dallas, and his team of researchers have been working on artificial muscles for more than twenty years. This pioneering work stems from an exploratory research program supported by AFOSR Program Manager, Dr. Byung-Lip "Les" Lee, PO: Mechanics of Multifunctional Materials and Microsystems, since 2005, whereby the team invented many new muscle types, including electrochemical carbon nanotube and conducting polymer muscle, as well as fuel-powered muscles. Dr. Baughman's nano-based muscles, which are 30 times stronger than natural muscles, are made of very thin sheets of nanotubes (1/10,000th of the diameter of a human hair) that on a weight basis are "strong as steel" in one direction and as elastic as rubber in two other directions. The most recent research by Baughman and his international team from Australia, China, South Korea, Canada, and Brazil, has resulted in new artificial muscles made from nanotech yarns and infused with paraffin wax that can lift more than 100,000 times their own weight and generate 85 times more mechanical power during contraction than the same size natural muscle. To learn more about this research, download the AFOSR Monograph at http://bit.ly/1e5WVTr (page 79) #tbt   #AirForce   #BasicResearch

Ahh the tables turn and where is the news media at now? +CNN +Fox News Where is the coverage on this and why aren't they being called savages?  Where is Geraldo to talk about their privileges?

Yeah moment of silence since we can only discuss Paris and not the bombing at the NAACP building which was an act of terrorism within the US.

Where is Don Lemon for +CNN asking white people why their culture is so violent? Where is +Fox News running Bill O'Reilly or Sean "the Manatee" Hannity calling these kids thugs who demolish their own neighborhoods?

See what's happening there right now!

Yes it does

On with todays rant.  So we can have a cover with Superman being killed and Batman beat to hell and back but we can't have one with the Joker being a deranged lunatic holding Batgirl hostage because some people find it offensive?  Give me a freaking break.
It recalled one of the most memorable moments in comic book history, but for critics on social media, one comic book cover went too far, and it's now been pulled.

The future is now
The artificial womb exists. In Tokyo, researchers have developed a technique called EUFI extrauterine fetal incubation. They have taken goat fetuses, threaded catheters through the large vessels in the umbilical cord and supplied the fetuses with ...

Didn't know this was going on and next it will be our new connected cars.
The attack marks only the second confirmed incident in which a wholly digital hack created physical destruction of equipment.

Why isn't this being covered?  I get we have shootings in Paris but a homeland terror, come on.
DENVER (AP) — The FBI is investigating the possibility that a homemade explosive set off near a Colorado NAACP office was a case of domestic terrorism. Investigators also are considering many other possible motives and have not determined whet...

They don't give a rats ass about the NAACP. That is why it wasn't covered.
