Now, has it improved or gotten worse in the three years since? #American #Tech #Juice
In many ways, technological utopianism is the heart and soul of the United States; it has driven our hyper-speed development and rise to global prominence. But, is the US rising or declining? Technologically speaking, does America still have "it?"

The world's foremost humanoid roboticists and their creations are now gathered in California for the DARPA Robotics Challenge, which is probably the most important robotics event in history. AkihabaraNews wishes the 5 Japanese teams well - AND, because we're robodorky like that, we also celebrate the ASIMO-preceding Honda P3, an 18-year-old robot upon whose shoulders stand a number of the DRC finalists and a majority of the most advanced humanoids on the planet (including SCHAFT, the runaway winner of the DRC Trials in 2013). He might be absent this time, but the contest is quite literally crawling with ASIMO's DNA!

From DARPA, The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency:
"Team NimbRo Rescue is one of two teams from Germany competing in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Its robot, Momaro, has four wheeled legs to help it move quickly on the ground and maintain stability. For more information visit: http://www.theroboticschallenge.org/finalist/nimbro-rescue."

Exactly 3 years ago today, Anthrobotic was singing the Robonaut social media praises. These days, however, our favorite space torso has fallen silent...
NASA is finally letting Robonaut 2 do some stuff, and they're sharing it with the public - there's actually a steady feed of news, only mildly cheesy 1st-person commentary, and some decent R2 photos & video beaming down from the ISS.

technology is the social force of human society
Introduction
Anthrobotic.com explores and shares technology ideas to accelerate and augment humanity’s linear understanding of an exponential phenomenon. And also to give praise and talk trash in sorta oddly punctuated dorky prose. Fun!

The site provides responsible tech coverage and original content served with a bit of levity and irreverence (sometimes a lot), some occasionally suspicious punctuation (profanity is a kind of punctuation), and a smartastic superiority complex. In sum, I bring the Technosnark.
