I totally agree with you that that action is, on all accounts, wrong but by no means representative of what the Filipino people feel about America. I am an American of Filipino descent and like you, I love America and feel offended by such actions. But I hope while you take notice of those Filipinos burning our flag, you must not also forget the other countries that do worst than that to Americans. Undeniably, there's a small faction in the Philippines that views America differently or simply attention-hungry people looking to get noticed in the world stage but a vast majority of Filipinos support and stand with America. And this is very well written in our history as a nation. Heck we even have July 4 as Filipino-American Friendship Day!
On the other hand, America's generosity to the Philippines in light with typhoon Haiyan didn't go unnoticed. For their kindness and genuine willingness to help, the Philippines, as a nation will forever be grateful. Not only to America but also to all the countries in the world that lend a helping hand one way or the other.
