What will the internet look like by 2025?
As the article suggests a few possible outcomes...
My bet is on it being completely invisible. To some degree it already is. When we use "apps" on our phone we don't consciously think about connecting the the net. We just tap and have access.
You can see the push by huge companies like Google in their recent acquisitions and collaborations. Google wants to break out of our computers and phones and be apart of our cars, our appliances, and our homes.
At some point ..just about every piece of data you own and transmit will be a byte in the cloud. Everything that runs, and is expected to be "intuitive" will receive its directions from source based in the cloud.
Obviously, this will leave us vulnerable to theft, cyber attacks, etc. And there will absolutely be no privacy. But In order to function in society... you will need play ball. Many of us will complain about it of course, but we have shown we are a malleable bunch.Case in point..
Facebook literally forced a privacy shit sandwich down our throats 5 years ago that the majority of us readily ate and asked for seconds. In fact, so many of us were fine with this that most of the hold outs literally had no choice but to play ball.
And so shall it be in 2025..The Future will ....
Always be connected...
Have everything be contextual..
And we will have zero anonymity..
Going off the grid will be a social deathFor ref, read the huffpost articlehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/11/heres-what-the-internet-c_n_4943051.html
