I love reading the classics! My latest not-quite-book-review is Jorge Luis Borges, a literary giant, the father of magical realism, and Argentinian cultural treasure. I discussed his impact and broke down my likes and dislikes in case you're interested in reading him too.

It's Halloweek! (That's Halloween week, for you normal people.) Start the spooks off right with the final post in my ‪#‎AllHallowsRead‬ giveaway: my poem "Light and Liquor."

This piece was first published in last year's Horror Writers Association Poetry Showcase, but now you can read it for free. It's a spoon river poem, or a soliloquy delivered from the grave. Leave a comment on my blog and you'll be entered to win one of my favorite scary books!

At World Horror Con I asked over a dozen literary rock stars the same question: "What's your biggest fear?" Their answers ranged from serious to charming, covering everything from real-life illness to a ghostly, tortured afterlife. That theory I have that horror writers aren't fearless? Turns out to be a pretty good theory. Check out all of their answers here!
