Balloon Storyteller performing in elementary schools, preschools, libraries and private parties all around Southern California
Introduction
I tell stories with balloons.  Really.  See www.BalloonStoryteller.com.   I live in Southern California, Orange County, right by Disneyland.
Bragging rights
I've figured out how to teach creative writing with balloons, I've been part of some of the largest balloon art projects in the world (www.balloonmanor.com), I can sing (but don't usually), I have the sense of humor of a 10 year old, and I can tie a balloon with one hand.

Hey Larry.  Just booked 3 Mousetrap shows for the summer reading program in the libraries for 2014.  Also found out that there are small groups of libs here doing the science theme.  I encourage everyone to find out who in their area is doing the science theme and contact them, or at least send some promo materials to them.  I've even done the show for young adult audiences.

p.s. Hope Balloon Manor is going smoothly.  See you in a couple of weeks!

Mind maps.  Love 'em.  Here are 4 web-based tools that look great.

I just want to share something that I really love and say thanks to +William Peavy , who hosts it: willpeavy.com/minifier/

People who work with code will know what that is, but I've been building a website with auto responder emails attached, and I've been editing PHP like crazy.  Will's Minifier is absolutely awesome, a huge time saver.  He also has a character counter program that I use all the time when I have to submit an app for something (like the PTA Convention exhibit booth) where I need to have a specific number of words or characters.

Thanks so much for making this available, Will!

I just got home from a balloon convention. This is my iPhone video of great moments in the fashion show - balloon dress and balloon costume competition. There were two dresses I couldn't catch because of blurry video, and it breaks my heart - they were beautiful! For complete photos of the BalloonHQ.com coverage of the balloon convention, go to http://bit.ly/1dLymdF. #TS2014

I love how he stressed that you can experience "hackschooling" even if you're in a traditional school.  It's all about following your passions and using those to learn all sorts of things.  So much of what he talked about (community programs, etc.) are available to anyone, and you don't necessarily have to take a day off of school to do them.

Unfortunately I waited until I was an adult to do this.  What a waste of time.  I hope more kids follow their interests like Logan does.

I would love to see more of this happen in school and at after school programs.  Who knows, if it starts in after school programs, we could have a whole new generation of kids on fire about learning.

(Oh, and notice he didn't like to write until he could write about things that he was interested in.)

Nice comment.  I notice that too; "can even be used by traditional shools."

I like the photo tools this guy talks about.
I wake up in the morning, and check what's new on Google+. Yes, really. Google is putting a lot of brawn and brains behind the social network everyone loves to hate, and it shows.

Here's a version of the promo video uploaded directly from iMovie. I think it's better than the last one.

Stuck in traffic? Stop for a yummy break. Best handmade noodles ever. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. If this restaurant were closer to me I'd eat here all the time. Careful - cash only!
