Has someone suggested to you that:
If God really loved you, He would heal your disease?
If God really loved you, He would never have allowed you to lose your job?
If God really loved you, He would bring your spouse back home?
If God really loved you, you would be healthy and wealthy and problem free?

Yet God has said that the proof of His love is none of those things! The proof of His love is that while we were sinners, passing Jesus by on the road of life, He sent His only, beloved Son to die for us.

Would you thank God, not just for saying, “I love you,” in words, but for proving it? [From Just Give Me Jesus]

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8, NKJV

Did you know? There’s nothing you’ve ever done that God cannot, or will not, forgive. It doesn’t matter how big the sin or how small.

It doesn’t matter how long ago it was committed, or how recently.
It doesn’t matter whether it was spontaneous or malicious. It just doesn’t matter! God will forgive you if you come to Him at the cross of His Son, Jesus Christ.

1st John 1:9 promises: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Abortion? Adultery? Hate? Hypocrisy? Doubt? Worry? What do you think is beyond the forgiveness of God? There’s nothing, nothing you’ve ever done that God cannot or will not forgive when you humbly ask Him.

Listen to me! Confess your sin to Him personally, specifically and honestly. Then…enjoy living in your forgiveness.

Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion.

What promise does God give in Deuteronomy 33:25?

"The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days."

As we settle in to 2017, join me in claiming this promise for the New Year. Then drive the stake of your faith down deep into Ephesians 3:20-21, applying it to your experience of God’s Person, God’s Provision, and God’s Power to see you through 2017 … triumphantly!
