I'm gonna miss that gap-tooth smile. I'm also imagining Kimmel is gonna jump on this faster than you can say "gap-tooth-smile." Which is fine by me. Because Kimmel is darn funny.
Though CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves said in his statement that "we knew this day was getting closer," the news of David Letterman's retirement from "The Late Show" in 2015 still took the wo...

Got to meet Secretary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton just before the holidays in SF. I'm #readyforhillary in 2016! Hope she breaks through that mighty thick glass ceiling once and for all.

Saw a real live "ark" this weekend. In Palo Alto. No kidding. Dude's not named Noah though. And Noah never worked at Facebook. But if Noah had worked at Facebook, just think how many more species he would have ben able to save! #Ark #Flood #Prepared

After seeing a "circle beard" I discovered this ingenious but terribly frightening example of male follicular design. I am so traumatized I think I may need to go offline for a few hours. http://www.bizarbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/crazy-haircuts-4-18.jpg

Requires monocle hat.

I laughed so hard I almost snarfed my Diet Coke.

Next question, "Would you like your commuting bus covered in protester vomit or some other disgusting liquid? To vote, reply with Yes or No."

I love how Medicare wants to ensure that ONLY my mother opens her private, personal, healthcare-related snail mail. Nearly a year after she died. Perhaps gov't doesn't know she is dead-dead or they are secretly holding her a political prisoner somewhere and forgot to mention it to DHHS. Either way, I think I get the right to open her envelopes. #GovtFail

Must be one of those dead people who vote Democrat. I can see where that would be confusing for the poor Medicare people. xP

I took my husband to Plaj for his birthday which is pronounced "Play." The word has no meaning, it's just written phonetically in Swedish. I have been to Aquavit in NYC otherwise I'm not sure I would think about Scandinavian as a cuisine I'd be up for. But it's really delicious! I started dinner with a cocktail - the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The drinks and dishes have some fun names, thankfully no allusions to IKEA. We had the herring appetizer and I'd never had herring before but I really enjoyed it. The dishes are small but good for folks who like to share and sample. The bread wasn't great - it was basically sliced rye served in a paper bag. But I've pretty much stopped eating bread anyway. In addition to the herring we had the smoked salmon which was tasty and we had the beet root and Jerusalem artichoke salad which I liked. We finished with the charcuterie dish and the cheese plate both of which were very well presented and delicious. And, of course, we drank aquavit. The aquavit shots were ice cold and only $8 each. The wine was okay but was not a huge selection. I'd stick to cocktails and liquor. They have a full bar so take advantage. All in all, I very much enjoyed the dinner. The service was excellent. We got in and out in plenty of time for our show at Davies. The location can't be beat for diners who are dashing to the symphony.
