Are you eating the dirtiest fruits and veggies every day?

Check out the 2015 Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 Lists just released from EWG. It's expensive to buy organic, but I recommend that you focus on getting those food items on the Dirty Dozen list as organic produce to avoid the heavy pesticides and minimize your risk of developing a chronic health condition. While buying organic is always best to avoid the chemicals, the produce on the Clean 15 are lower even when not organic.

Lets not forget...Spring is almost here and so you’ll want to really explore buying local from farmers that you know grow organic produce or at least use organic practices. Local and need a referrals? I have some great farmers that I work with, just PM me.

Everybody needs a coach. We have them sprinkled throughout our lives, whether we play sports, we have mentors at work, we have teachers and guidance counselors at school, therapists and so on. Their jobs all have something in common...to teach, guide and support. That's exactly what a health coach does in the area of health and nutrition.

I think of it this way. If you were truly ready to make the changes to your diet and health on your own, you would have already started. That's not to say you don't want it. I've been where you are, wanting it, but not sure where or how to start. So what's stopping you? Taking that plunge with a health coach was exactly what I needed to get me started on the right track because I was clueless to what it meant to eat foods that were right for my body. Allow me to be your guide, your teacher and show you the "what and how" so you can achieve your health goals. I look forward to taking this journey with you.

Are you like me and mostly crave salads in the spring and summer? I not only focus on eating healthy but seasonally. You can still enjoy salad in the winter simply by warming up your vegetables and adding to room temperature greens. This also helps those of us with challenged digestive systems who can't eat raw foods. Have you ever tried warm salad?

So today starts the 1st day of Lent and growing up in the Catholic faith we were taught and encouraged to "give up something" for Lent. I came across this article and really, really like this concept of focusing on giving to others. Instead of giving something up, take something on. What do you think?
