Our morning was made all the more magical with a sighting of a whale and her calf lunging carelessly through the waters. One minute we were powering along and the next ‘Wazza’, our Captain killed the motors and for 10 minutes we all sat in awe as the whales lunged and swam carelessly nearby.

It’s official, this little shenANNAgator has been bitten with the DIY and gardening bug, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to leave me anytime soon. At first I excused myself because we needed to fix the front garden because ol mate Cyclone Debbie smashed everything to pieces, but nope… it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Dinner in a snap, made from scratch! Pan fried salmon with tomatoes, asparagus, kalamata olives and vegan soy-bean linguini. It really is amazing what you can make in 20 minutes when you get creative!

Chuffed as to find myself with a ticket earmarked as Co-Pilot, I scored the seat up the front of the plane beside Jimmy the pilot who kept us all informed on the amazing scenes below as we flew over most of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays, Whitehaven Beach and the renowned Hill Inlet.
