Can we talk about this, please? Is a toy that poops jewels really fun or necessary even?

Here’s the truth: there’s power when passionate people come together. The Charleston cast of Listen To Your Mother is no exception. See for yourself.

"I’m dedicating these #30Days to all the strong Shes that I know. All the ladies who aren’t afraid to be bold and who shine brighter than bright. I want to celebrate you this month and learn how to cultivate a little of your power within me."

In these #30days , photography has become a way for me to build my kids up, encourage them, and recognize their awesomeness.

Do you see the difference between being Assertive and being Aggressive. There's a thin line between them, but I promise the difference is so important.

Why are girls expected to stay so clean? I want Julia to know that those princess gowns can get dirty, filthy even. Pink looks good with a little mud on it. And sometimes splashing in muddy puddles is a fun alternative to tea parties.

Were you taught how to be assertive or strong willed? I really wish that I had been and here's why. http://bit.ly/1iuTMzp

Do you use a tripod? Have you ever tried a camera beanbag instead? Check out this video tutorial about how you can make your own (and it's super easy). ‪

I made some super cool and custom photo coasters following Click it Up a Notch's (+Courtney Slazinik) tutorial. These would be ah-mazing for Mother's Day with photos of the kids.

Story
Introduction

Hi there! My name is Anna. I’m an flip flop-loving, hot yoga-doing, local eating, super stay-at-home mom. I love all things beach, laughing until my sides hurt, and thunder storms. I live in Charleston, South Carolina, with my husband, Jason, and two kids. Julia (2009), and Maxwell (2011). In my free time, you can find me with my camera in hand photographing any and everything I can, and when I’m not free, I’m playing dress up or trains with my kids, freelance writing, or learning to love running.

I blog at In The Next 30 Days. It's a personal challenge blog established to help me make my life brighter, shinier, and happier while making a positive difference in myself and the world around me. I challenge my health, abilities, imagination, or bliss in a different way every 30 Days. Then, I blog, write, and photograph my adventures in an honest way to share at InTheNext30Days.net. I hope that my successes, failures, challenges, and openness will inspire you to make a difference in your life, world, and habits. I really believe in inspiration through community.

You might have seen me around. In The Next 30 Days has been featured in Skirt! Magazine and on Life Pulp, Thriving Wives, and Pure of Faith. Plus, I’m a Greatist Ambassador for Greatist.com.

If you want to follow more of my 30 Days, I am on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and  Instagram. Or you can subscribe via RSS or email.  And you can always e-mail me directly at InTheNext30Days@gmail.com. (Whew.)
