“He’s just saying all those things because he wants to be with her,” I told my mom. “Of course he is!” she exclaimed. “That’s how dating works.” She held back her laughter as best as she could, but I saw that my mom looked at me like a naive little girl,…

The moments I treasure most in the ministry are the ones when kids ask about God or Jesus on their own, and I get to pray with them to ask Jesus as their Savior. I always struggle not to cry because they’re oh so adorable and sincere! Yet I know, as you…
Do you have the faith to be saved? Healed? Walk in the power of God? It's time to stop underestimating your faith and what God can do through you!

At the end of each month, I’m looking back at the things I learned, loved, and lived through. This is my look back at March. LEARNED I learned that we don’t need to run to God with peace offerings and there are 4 things that happen when God gives you a…

I was finally able to tell the congregation about thinking Orange and our move from Children’s Ministry to Family Ministry. The “announcement” was a little long, but I believe it was well received. We had fliers passed out and a short video to show. And…

I can’t stress the importance of getting rest from ministry work. If you’re a ministry volunteer, worker or leader, you know how busy the ministry can get. It’s not just a Sunday thing. It takes up time and energy, and of course, we want to give our best…
Giving your best in the ministry means getting rest. It's easier said than done unless we adjust our thinking. Read 5 ways to get rest from ministry work.

As a single non-dating woman, I held off really writing on dating because people like to throw my inexperience at my face. Although I appreciate the insight that comes from experience, there’s also the insight that comes from observation (learning from…

I was never the popular kid, so when the ministry becomes a popularity contest, it makes my skin crawl. And oh yes, the ministry becomes a popularity contest more often than we’d care to admit. How? People attend the most popular ministry events. Ministry…
The ministry becomes a popularity contest more often than we'd care to admit. It's disheartening. What should we do?

I decided to be selfish. In my car, on a rainy day, burned out and fed up, I decided to be selfish. And it was exactly what I needed. And what I didn’t. It was one of those decisions that I thought would relieve me of stress and get me back on track. And…

I feel like I’ve been everywhere online recently. I am so not fond of research, but I have to do it. What’s your favorite research/notes organizing tool? Because so far, I have none! I just bookmark links or download what I can download. Anyway, here are…

In a prayer meeting one night, God impressed a question in my heart. “Why are you praying like you’re living in sin? Like you’re unrighteous? I am faithful to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. You have been forgiven, but you live…

Introduction
Hi, I'm Angela! A twentysomething INFP dreamer, God believer, chocolate lover, coffee drinker, DIYer, and oh so much more. What you see is never what you get :-) I'm a little more complicated than that.

I blog at annaangela.com on faith, life, and ministry. I don't have it together, and that's okay. I want to share with you my story. I'm usually with a cup of coffee or tea. Stop on by with your own cup, and share your story. I'd love to hear it!

Employment
  • Harvest International Christian Church
    Harvest International, 2002 - present
I lead and oversee the Children's Ministry. I meet with, train, and recruit volunteers. I delegate events, help implement them, and also plan them myself. I oversee the Sunday school classes: needs, curricula, teaching where I'm needed. I also teach the Toddler's Class. I manage the budget. I create, publish, and manage the newsletter, blog, and Facebook page.
  • Self Employed
    Writer, present
I have been published in Guide Magazine with "A Friend in Need" (Issue 2.4.06). As well as in Leaf by Leaf (Spring 2008) with my poems: "I Am Cold," "One With Nature's Course," and "Enduring." I also blog on Christian faith and living, product reviews, and on The World's Independent Film Festival. I write film reviews with Examiner.com.
  • Self Employed
    Editor, present
I edited and revised graduate level papers in APA and MLA style. I edited author manuscripts. I currently edit business letters, press releases, and other online and print copy materials for The World's Independent Film Festival and GTC Films Production.
  • Self Employed
    Copywriter, present
I created a missionary itineration flier/brochure (that's print brochures used to ask for missionary support) and created Powerpoint and Prezi presentations. I currently write press releases and the copy for market materials for The World's Independent Film Festival and GTC Films Production.
  • Self Employed
    Web Designer, present
I create basic websites through Wordpress. I fell into this role out of time necessity with organizations I'm working with as a writer. I give you this explanation because I am not trained as a web designer and I cannot write code. I have high respect for pro web designers and coders. Their minds play at a different plane, in my opinion. But I can figure some technical stuff out. If you want something basic and easy, something I can pass on to you, and something on Wordpress, then I can help you out. For reference, you can visit www.millenniumpitch.com and www.siliconvalleymillennium.com. I also wrote the copy on both sites.
