Always great to hold a new book hot off the press in your hands. This time as I hope readers are anxious to hold this book in their hands, I started thinking about characters and how liking a character can pull you into a story. But does not liking one make you give up on a story? I asked that on my blog post.

What do you think may have changed the most when my parents were able to hook onto the electric lines after my dad paid someone to wire his house 70 years ago?

Did you watch? For the game or the commercials? They give us something to talk about, both the game and the commercials. Which commercials did you like?

Sometimes I think writing a novel is something like putting together a crazy quilt. You have to fit all the pieces together to make the whole.

Jocie is wishing she had a boyfriend to give her candy on Valentine's Day, but since she doesn't, she's not too happy about February and everybody talking about it being the love month.

Ola was the third winner in my Hidden Springs giveaway last night. Thanks to all of you who joined in with my giveaway fun. I hope you enjoyed reading about some of the things I do when I begin writing a new book. I continue with that on last night post with writing about setting because every story does need a place. Hidden Springs is the place for my mysteries. It's the little town time forgot but murder didn't. More giveaways to come to celebrate the March release of my third Hidden Springs mystery, Murder Is No Accident.

One more look behind the scenes of writing my upcoming Hidden Springs mystery, Murder Is No Accident. This time I'm sharing how I come up with all those names. After all, I've been filling my little town of Hidden Springs with people and they all have to have a name. You can check out the blog post and share how you feel about characters' names plus enter a giveaway to win one of those Hidden Springs books to get to know the people I've been naming.

Last Wednesday I posted about how I get to know my characters. This week I write about ideas and how I developed the idea for my upcoming Hidden Springs mystery, Murder Is No Accident. Hop over and see how this one writer's mind works and see how you might win a copy of one of the first two Hidden Springs mysteries. Two winners have already been picked. One more winner next Sunday. So what if we have this old house???
