Very interesting insight into app download interstitials. Some highlights from the Google+ example:
* 69% of the visits abandoned our page.
* 9% of the visits to our interstitial page resulted in the ‘Get App’ button being pressed.
* 1-day active users on our mobile website increased by 17%.

Hello Pluto!

Best Pluto image yet from our New Horizons spacecraft will be released and discussed at our 8 a.m. EDT briefing on NASA Television. Get a SNEAK PEEK here: https://instagram.com/p/5HTXKMoaFL

At 7:49 a.m. EDT today, New Horizons will zip past Pluto at 30,800 miles per hour (49,600 kilometers per hour), with a suite of seven science instruments busily gathering data. The mission will complete the initial reconnaissance of the solar system with the first-ever look at the icy dwarf planet. Images from the #PlutoFlyby will be processed and released on Wednesday, July 15.

Episode two of #MapsZen is now live. How do you frame your maps camera?

100 days of Google Dev, Episode 15/100

Movie & TV creators control the camera, framing of each shot, & creating an evocative scene. As Maps developers, we have the same creative direction over UI. In this byte, Ankur shows you how.

Learn about audio latency and buffers. In this video, we explore one contributor to audio latency: buffer sizes, and what we're doing to reduce those sizes.

+Ankur Kotwal I tried that inside one of the callbacks from a clustermanager implementation that I made but you are right. It might not be a good idea.

Thanks!

Here's a great write up about the value of Developer Relations.

Writing about what I do is what I do, so I've started writing a series over on Medium on what I think Developer Relations is, and why I think it's important.

If you've ever wondered what Developer Relations is, why companies like Google employ Developer Advocates, or even why companies build platforms around their products, this may be relevant to your interests :)
