This is fascinating. Original Post:

Beautiful abstract art?

Rather this is a graphical representation of the frequency of four digit PIN codes. On the x-axes we have the first two PIN digits from 00.. to 99.., on the y-axes we have the last two digits from ..00 to ..99. Popular PIN codes include the yellow diagonal, PIN codes of the form XYXY, and even more bright XXXX. The vertical yellow line are PIN codes marking a year, mostly between the years 1930-2010. The yellow blob on the lower left are US formatted calendar days from 01/01 to 12/31 (you can even see how many days each month has). Also singleton yellow dots can be explained.

Anyway, it is beautiful, in my opinion.

One of the things I love about the week after #io13  is that it's time to go to the drawing board and think about 'What Next'. Time to think big, take into account all the feedback and ideas and really figure out how to make the next leap! It was great connecting with everyone. Keep in touch.

Importing Web Data into Google Spreadsheet

Did you know you can import tables available online directly into +Google Drive? That can be done using the ImportHTML function on  Google Spreadsheets and will save you a lot of time. The image below shows how to do it (source goo.gl/19mojE).

Best part of this article: "Oh, and did I mention that blitz campaign is a totally losing strategy for Android apps?".  Go Play Team (+Ficus Kirkpatrick  +wei chai  +Qisheng Zhao +Shabih Rizvi )!  For a deeper understanding of the Google Play Search & Discovery algorithms, check out my Google IO talk from last year at Google I/O 2013 - Getting Discovered on Google Play

Playing in the Grass: I decided to sit in our front yard and just shoot anything colorful that I could see from that vantage point.  Such a nice way to enjoy such beautiful weather. And a nice break too. Cheers! #nofilter

Exactly five years ago today, 7/21/2008, I joined Cuil right out of graduate school not knowing what to expect from the working world.  That team got absorbed into Google's in 2010 and I had the chance to see Android and the mobile space grow from its infancy. The kinds of opportunities I've had, the number of smart people I've had the honor to work with and the experiences I've been able to collect have been a dream come true.  If someone had given me a contract to sign with this 5 year journey, I wouldn't have thought twice before signing it.

This coming Friday, will be my last day at Google.  It's time to start the next 5 years by giving myself a chance to build something from the ground up.  It's another unknown journey, but if it's even half as good as the one I'm about to complete, I know I'll be a happy man.

In true Silicon Valley speak I have to end by saying, "if you know any good engineers, I'd love the introductions". :)

Love that this place is open till late in the night and has a lot of vegetarian options! The neighborhood is sketchy with a strip club across the street which invites an interesting patronage at this late hour.

I'm Vegetarian and this place has a great selection of entrees. My two favorites are the Wild Mushroom Empanadas and the Vegetable Paella. Their White Wine Sangria left a little to be desired but the food and ambience more than made up for it. On a Friday night, this is a great place to eat good food, enjoy live music and have a fun night!

The dessert pizzas are DELICIOUS! The contadina is "different" and good once... but I could probably make it at home :). The funghi is very tasty. This place is pretty pricey though...
