Last week, we tested the Artec Eva by +Artec 3D, one of the most famous handheld 3D scanners, designed for professional applications.

Our reviewer +Pierre-Antoine Arrighi tested this 3D scanner on several challenging objects, from a sheep plush to a black suitcase and even an old Stan Smith shoe.

Verdict?
We were impressed by the results we got and by the overall user flow in Artec Studio 11. The Artec Eva is a quite expensive device (around $20k) but it's definitely among the best commercial-grade portable 3D scanners available on the market.

See our full review for more details and rating!
The Artec Eva has the ability to produce detailed 3D scans of almost all types of objects. We praise its intuitive user experience and efficient software.

🎒 Back to school for the Aniwaa team 📚

Vacation is over. We took a break from social media but we had a quite productive summer. Many new features and 3D printers/scanners reviews are in the pipeline: stay tuned for more info soon 😊

Today, let's explore some crazy concepts floating around about the dimensions of 3D printing.
Have you heard about 4D printing or 2.5D printing?
Did you know 5D printing is actually a thing?

Here's a quick cheat sheet in case you need it:
> 2.5D: " touch and feel" low relief printing
> 3D: physical object printed in 3 dimensions
> 4D: the object printed can evolve with time
> 5D: it's really just 3D printing but using 5-axis printer

If you want to know more, check out our article below!

There are many 3D printers on the market, and many review sources. Finding relevant information can be quite challenging.

To help you find the right 3D printer, we now aggregate ratings and reviews from reliable sources on Aniwaa.com.

We selected five sources, based on the quality of their reviews. Some are crowdsourcing ratings and reviews from their users (3D Hubs, Pinshape, Amazon), one is a an independent media specialized in product reviews (Make Magazine). We also list Youtube video reviews from recognized 3D printing Youtubers, because they're super informative and we love them!

We hope you will find this helpful. Stay tuned for more new features in the coming weeks!

But at $1,099, is it a good investment?

Find out the details and final rating in our independent and unbiased review.
The MBot Grid II+ can produce good quality 3D prints, once provided a correct PLA 3D filament. The Grid II+ has a lot of potential.
