Few lines about dissection of works of Kaushik Ganguly, Srijit Mukherjee and Anik Dutta:
In Kaushik’s work Apur Panchali there is a hand of God, the mastermind Ray’s work reflected everywhere, in every sequel it goes down memory lane with the flashback of Apu’s Trilogy, and everybody is mesmerized with the world famous sequence and tunes, apart from that Subir Banerjee’s own part in the film has not been portrayed in a rather fascinating way, the shadow of Ray’s Apu is everywhere, the director gets 7 out of 10 to me
Anik Dutta’s concept, visualization and framing of dialogues in Aschorjo Pradip is splendid, I talked about this movie with a number of people and they had a mild protest regarding the end, but it couldn’t have been better than that, if you are waiting for a super candy and ultimately you see that candy has been brought from your own fridge then you are out of this world, Anik Dutta scores 8 out of 10 to me
And lastly Srijit’s work is beyond the scope of any imagination, in Jaatiswar, every part of the film is fabulous, it’s a remarkable act, the 17th century’s Hensman Anthony is reincarnated in Kushal Hazra, and that too has been symbolized through the eyes of Rohit and Mahamaya, this touch of visualization makes it the zenith point of creation and added to that great tunes of Suman Chattopadhyay , Srijit’s work is unique and thus he scores 10 out of 10
In these days I am glad that I need not to look after Bollywood or Hollywood, I am getting my own food for soul through Bengali cinemas…..thanks

I am a proud Indian. In a few days, I am going to be casting my vote for the right party. But like many of you, I am still not sure which party to vote for and why.

This is because the campaign in the run up to the polls has been hijacked by ideological battles and shouting matches on television.

As an Indian citizen, it is my right to know exactly what policies various parties will pursue if voted to power.

1. The BJP’s campaign has revolved around Narendra Modi’s ‘Gujarat model of development’ and his rousing speeches. But he has not yet explained how such a model can be replicated in states that need different solution sets.

2. The Congress campaign, led by Rahul Gandhi, has promised change, especially in combating corruption. However, he has not told us in detail how his government will be different from the current government.

3. Under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership the Aam Aadmi Party has captured the nation’s imagination by exposing links between politics and big business. However, I am not sure what policies Mr Kejriwal and his team will introduce if voted.

While all parties say they have a manifesto, none of them have made their economic, social, developmental and strategic policies clear. But what good is a manifesto if the voters are unaware about it and if its contents cannot be debated?

As much as I love India, I shamefully admit that the real agenda of political parties has been lost in the shrill shouting matches, clever manipulation of facts and outright lies which cannot immediately be fact-checked.

Let us give them a platform to question each other and answer our questions in an organised and controlled environment.

Never before has such a debate been held in India, though worldwide it is an accepted norm by which contestants are filtered to perfection - This format is tested with successful results in democracies like the U.S. (since 1987) where a special Commission of Presidential Debates has been established to let the two Presidential candidates come forward and defend their party's policies and reforms.

One relative (lady) came to me with a letter from the court of honorable LD 19th Metropolitan Magistrate Kolkata, that Bajaj Finance Ltd requested to the court for a criminal prosecution u/s 25(1) on her for not paying an amount of Rs 1917/- to them; she has a valid reason for not paying the amount as the agreed repayable amount for a consumer durable loan was Rs 1278/- not Rs 1917/- and she had argued it several times with Bajaj Finance regarding this…..
In this country where ministers and their relatives swallow hundreds of crores of public money, Bajaj Finance Ltd wants a criminal prosecution on a housewife for not paying Rs 1917/- even if the reason is defensible;  the act of Bajaj Finance Ltd is aghast and with malice intention to pester a woman….
After the tremendous wins of KKR, just one word came out from my mouth….I refrain myself to use that word…..

This Sanjeev Goenka of CESC with the support of his political bosses is doing a monopoly in electricity business, since long it has been continuing with R.P Goenka and his then political boss Shri Jyoti Basu, and they have ridiculous answers to this power cut problem, for the last 15 days twice in midnight the power cut happened in Kasba Shantipally and their pet customer care executives said that it was quite obvious, since there is no competitors in this business they are the perpetrators. For the common people, it is the time to mark a change by voting against their political bosses, lets make a change, bring on NaMo…..to end misdeeds and corruption, to my young aspirants my advice is think and vote, this is the chance you get to mark a gripe. — feeling determined.
