Lots of people never bother to exercise their pet and he will suffer. Pets are often energetic creatures and need to play. Speak to one of our vet experts about how much activity your pet needs, and also see to it he gets it.

5 steps to managing thunderstorm anxiety (thunder fear) with your dog

I think that was the first real thunderstorm Leo has been through. The puppy flap went a few times but no baking or wimpering so I'm thinking all good! :-) Thanks for sharing I know it's a real issue for some of our furry friends.

Let’s face it, remembering to medicate yourself after a visit to the doctor can be hit and miss for many people, and the challenge remains for people medicating their pet’s, especially when they aren’t asking for it, and even make it a physical challenge.

Just last week I experienced life from one of my clients point of view. Medicating my puppy dog after having a tooth extracted I almost forgot to dose him!

So I turned to my ever present companion, my smartphone. I knew it was likely there was an app for that. Given I had started planning such an app a year or so ago, by now there was likely a good one for people that would just as easily fit his medication too.
I found a really helpful and easy to use app called Medisafe. Available on Android.

Here’s the link –  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.medisafe.android.client&hl=en
It was easy to setup. Can be used for any length of time, dosing and reminders. Best of all  – IT IS FREE!

No doubt there will be IOs versions too. Sorry just can’t test them for you, but take a look at their reviews.

I notice it si also good for remembering recurrent tasks, such as taking out the bin, and even letting me know which bin is due this week, especially handy for our new councils bin changes! The possibilities are endless!!

Have you seen any good apps lately that could help the health or treatment of your pet? Let me now!

These are the best vets I have ever taken my fur kids to. I trust them completely and it's obvious that they care about their patients. I will always take my pets here.. cats, and a large sized dog. They save the lives of two of my cats last year, and they are very comfortable with my large dog who can be shy.

You can really tell when someone is passionate about what they do, and that is the kind of person you want to have when it comes to caring for your loved family members. When I need to see a (human) doctor for myself, I usually go to any practice that has a spare spot that day. I can tell the doctor whats wrong or how I'm feeling, and they can sort it out from there. BUT my dog and cat can't do that. They need to see someone that is really in tune with them and that they are comfortable with. They need to see someone that not only has the experience & qualifications, but also love what they do and connect with them. I'd been to other vets when I lived elsewhere, and I was really happy with them. But, what I've experienced from the Animal Doctors is above and beyond anything else I (or my furry mates) have ever come across. Every single time I have been to see Dr Steve & all the fantastic staff at Animal Doctors, I have always left knowing that if there was anything, and I mean anything more they could do to provide the best care possible - they would talk to me about it, and do it.

That is such a wonderful post and review Scott. We are boosted by your thoughts. Our work is ahead of us to continue to provide this level of care to and your family, nah, in fact, we want to be better, every step of the way. Reading this has capped the week off nicely, I will pass this on to our Team at our next meeting, they do deserve the credit for the hard work and passion they deliver to our important patients and clients. Thank you again, we appreciate the time it has taken to review us, Kind regards Steve

Fantastic business. Very loving and caring for the animals. They have the best facilities i've ever seen and do anything from clipping nails to acupuncture and surgeries onsite. Would definitely recommend to new clients.

I love taking my animals here, everyone so obviously cares about all the animals who come through the practice and each animal is welcomed and remembered and given special attention - wouldn't go anywhere else!

I am constantly amazed with this practice and the people who work there. Every time I think I've had the best service and care possible, they take it to the next level. Dr Steve and his wonderful team not only look after the furry members of my family, but make sure I know what is happening every step of the way. The nurses are amazing, and whenever I've seen another Dr I can only rave about the level of care they provide. The additional information provided through social media is just an added bonus! Well done.

Hi Sheila, Wow thanks for your thoughtful comments. It is great to hear that we are meeting and hopefully exceeding your expectations. Our goal is to continue to do so, and to continue to provide the best treatment and options. I think the key word you also mention there is "family". We know how important your four legged family is (even with their little issues :) ) and take our responsibility for their care very seriously. Thanks again for taking the time for this comment/feedback, I'll pass it on also to our wonderful nurses. kind regards Steve

Really friendly staff that are passionate about animals. It's never great having to go to a vet, however it helps that the staff here take all the time needed to offer the best help possible. Our dog is actually excited to go in the door, as he always gets lots of pats, treats and attention.
Response from the owner - a year ago
Thanks for taking the time to review us Alexei, your boy is a bit of a champ. His enthusiasm for life is lifting! And how could we ignore those big brown eyes when asking for a pat or treat?? It is great to know you can see our passion for what we do. Once again thanks for the comment Steve
