Dear Animal Hospital of River Oaks Family,
I have spent a lot of time searching for the right person to join our veterinary team and I am truly pleased to be writing to you with this wonderful announcement.
I would like to introduce Dr. Chung Yeen Mac - our newest veterinarian at the Animal Hospital of River Oaks.
Dr. Mac is very pleased to have joined our team and she is looking forward to helping us continue to serve you and your families with the high quality and compassionate care that you already know and love about us.
Dr. Mac was born and raised in Oakville. With high school completed, she crossed the Atlantic to follow her dream, enrolling in the Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Bristol, England.
After graduation she worked in Suffolk, UK as a small animal veterinarian for 18 months and then Dr Mac, her Border Terrier "Monkey" and her tabby cat, "Matilda" returned home.
Some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mac as she has been with us for a few weeks now. The team and I feel like she has been here all along - she just fits! I know several of you have commented on how terrific she is and I can honestly say - we feel honored to have her on our team.
Dr. Mac has a strong passion for responsible pet ownership and helping clients through the life cycle of pet ownership. She strives to provide early guidance and support to owners on behavior and socialization to ensure a happy, healthy life-long bond between clients and their pets.
Dr. Mac currently lives here in Oakville with her three pets (and her mom, although she probably doesn't want me to tell you that). Dr. Mac enjoys spending her weekends taking her dogs on various adventures. Monkey has passed his therapy dog assessment, and Dr. Mac hopes to add Maple to the program. As you can imagine, she is a proud doggy mom!
As my clients know, being a veterinarian isn't my vocation, it is my passion. The hospital is very special to me and finding a veterinarian who fit did sometimes feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. That said, I couldn't be happier to have found somebody so remarkable to help me provide the kind of compassion and care we have built our practice on.
All the best for the summer, see you soon,
