Our pets need dental care every bit as much as we do, there is a disturbing frequency of dental disease in companion animals. It is estimated that over 80 percent of pets wind up with periodontal disease by the time they are 3-years-old. This is unfortunate, both because it is largely preventable and because it can lead to tooth loss and even damage to internal organs. Give us a call today if you have ever wondered about dental services for your pet.

When a pet limps, he is usually doing so because one or more of his limbs hurt or because normal range of motion has somehow been altered.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself:
Could your dog have suffered any trauma over the previous few hours?
Do you notice any swelling where your pet may have been bitten by another animal, or stung by an insect? How old is your dog? Has this issue been building up for a while? Do you notice a difference in how your pet gets around based on seasonal temperature? Could it be a torn toenail? Do you see any swelling in the affected limb or joint? Is there a cut in your pet’s footpads? Are they dry or cracked?

Once you have isolated the issue to the best of your ability, give us a call. We are happy to help you assess whether your pet needs to be seen by a veterinarian.

Call us today about our dog and cat grooming services. We all want our pets to look their very best, and professional pet grooming can accomplish this goal. Proper grooming does more than just improve the look of your dog and cat. It helps maintain the health of your animal and allows for a thorough going over from an experienced professional to identify any potential problems. This is why a grooming visit is a good idea for most dogs and cats and should be a part of regular animal upkeep.

Congratulations to Jack and his owner for passing the Canine Good Citizen test yesterday! Jack hopes to connect with Denver Pet Partners to be a therapy animal in R. E. A. D. program. This program helps children who are struggling with literacy to build confidence and skills by reading to dogs. The kids are going to love you Jack! Great job!
