Absolutely terrible! If I could give them 0 stars I would. Not only did my teacher send me an email telling me that I need stop moving forward, because I'm "compromising my ability to retain the information for the sake of speed". Then telling me that, "progressing quickly through the program in order to reach my externship in not recommended." When in reality I didn't have a job at the time so I was trying to work on this as much as I could, since I had the time to do it. So, instead of asking me about it, she went ahead and assumed that I wasn't even doing the work like I should be and I am just doing this to reach the end. On top of that she completely forgot about me and didn't contact me for almost a year. I was told that during this process your teacher would stay in constant contact with you. This was a huge waste of time and money. I'm glad that some people have had a great experience with this program! I feel like I would've benefited from it as well if I had been assigned a teacher that could successfully do the job that she's been given and live up to what Animal Behavior College said they would do.

My experience with Animal Behavior College goes back many years and I have always been impressed with the school's dedication to providing the very best education to anyone in the United States or Canada, that has a true passion for working with pets and animals. I would never hesitate to recommend Animal Behavior College to anyone who wants to start a new career as a professional do trainer, pet groomer or Veterinary Assistant.

Animal Behavior College changed my life in so many ways. I am a military spouse and I went to ABC through MYCAA witch is an organization through the military to help military spouses get an education. I took the Veterinarian Assistant course because it suited me best. The books are very detailed and thorough and teaches you everything you need to know about the course. My advisor was amazing and helped me with any question I had along the way. Two years later I am now working as a Vet Assistant at an Emergency Hospital and I also work at an SPCA as a Surgical Vet Assistant. I couldn't be more proud of myself as to how far I have come and to get to where I am today, and I owe it all to Animal Behavior College to have helped me achieve my goals and helped me peruse my career in the animal industry. I would definitely refer anyone who is interested in a career working with animals to come to Animal Behavior College!

I completed this course with a passing grade and am awaiting my certificate. I will go ahead and list the Pros, Cons and my thoughts. Pros- This course is a very good introduction to understanding dogs and it does offer some good advice on training dogs. The staff has been great, willing to make exceptions as long as you keep them informed and updated. They also are very quick to respond to emails and assist with any questions you might have. Able to work at your own pace is a great thing for people with busy lives. Pet First Aid and CPR is great to include in course curriculum. Cons- The course materials can be found in many other publications located online or in public library. The limited amount of time spent with actual training vs. book work is not advisable for truly certified trainers. The cost is extremely high for what the course has to offer. Thoughts- If you want to take an introduction course to dog training this is not a bad course. I would be very concerned if I had a graduate from this course actually teaching anything but, basic obedience to my dogs. The major stores from the Chicago land area don't recognize this course as being sufficient enough to train in there stores (Petco, Pet Smart & Pet Supplies Plus). I would look into saving the money and actually going to a reputable dog training facility that spends more hands on time vs. book time.

As a graduate of the Dog Grooming Program with ABC and now years later an externship coordinator, I love what ABC offers. I'm biased and love the dog grooming program the most. You learned so much during your stages with your program manager available if you need support. Then when I completed my hands on training for my externship it took my education to another level. I didn't realize just how much work was involved in dog grooming until I completed my externship. That is the part of the program that really shows you what you are made of. Now I spend my days working hard to help other people follow their passion and love for grooming.

Animal Behavior college is the best around. Their programs worked best for my schedule, and we're so convenient. The staff is there right when you need them, and have they offer the best support system. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to enter the animal care industry.

It was the best experience with a college I'd ever had, hands down. They helped me every step of the way, and I do mean that quite literally. The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of, to the point where they actually hired a trainer in my area for my externship program! If you're looking for instructors that actually care and a straight-foward no nonsense curriculum this is the place for you.

I graduated from both the Veterinary Assisting program and the Dog Obedience Instructor program a few years ago. During each program I had to move (I am a military spouse) and each time my program manager worked with me to help me stay on top of things. They followed up with me and gave me the extra help I needed during those stressful times. They even waited until I got to my new locations to set me up with my extern sites so I wouldn't have to start from the beginning! My hands on portions were amazing and I absolutely love love love this school! If you have a passion for animals that you would like to turn into a career, I couldn't recommend this school more!
