I had a great time at Angus grill a few days ago. I tried the caipirinhas and the coconut martini at the bar and I loved it. The food was very tasty specially the garlic beef. I also loved yhe rice and beans  and the potato salad.

Me and my gf went here last night and it was great. I downplayed my expectations prior to going since I've seen a negative review or two concerning this place, but I was pleasantly surprised upon simply entering the establishment. I bought a voucher off of livingsocial, and made my reservation prior to all this btw..If you don't make a reservation you'll be hard pressed to actually get a seat because this place gets packed..just make a reservation it takes 3 minutes. It looks fancy when you walk in, and the bar/waiting area is a great place to pass the time while a table opens up. The food is pretty good, it's actually better than another Brazilian steakhouse I've been to that is real popular in Houston..won't say names. The grilled pineapple is such a delight. The salad bar is WAY better than others make it out to seem. It's actually quite huge. Nice staff and pleasant atmosphere, if you want a certain cut of meat just ask and they'll bring it. All in all we enjoyed our time and we're definitely coming back sometime when our schedules allow it. 5 stars

I bought a deal from Living Social to take my husband out for the night. We had a reservation at 7:30 but we arrived at 7:15 - we were seated immediately. They had a nice little band playing and the decor is very charming inside. We immediately got our drinks and had salad - which was good (nothing super fancy). Immediately meat and more meat kept coming to the table. We love our meat medium and this was sooo good. We decided next time we will get one meat, flip the card to red while we eat, then flip the card to green to get one more meat, and then flip to red while we eat, etc. This would make the experience last longer :) We were there for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The service was very attentive and the manager (maybe owner) stopped by and was very helpful. We asked for the lamb and he sent it right over, and he continued to walk around and assist the servers. We will definitely be back!

This is a place for good food and cocktails. If you call in advance and make a reservation like in any other restaurant you will be seated promptly. As for the meat, you have to let the meat server know how you like it cooked for every cut you want just like any other Brazilian steakhouse. If you are looking for a splendid decor and modern architecture restaurant this is not the place to go but if you are looking for flavorful food , tasteful drinks, candle lights and live music , then this place is for you. They serve popular Brazilian style rice & beans, lentil soup (currently), a variety of salads such as peas, tomatoes, beets, artichoke. carrots, spinach, cucumber, corn, potato salad, mashed potato, chicken salad, seafood mix, prosciutto plus a variety of cheeses, salamis and may other sides. They also have the sides that they bring to the table , fried plantain, cheese bread, and polenta. On the skewer, they have a delicious grilled pineapple and ten types of meat. The only way you will leave hungry is if you don't turn your meat signal paper green on your table. I have seen people do that and then complain they didn't get meat. Every Brazilian Steak House uses theses coasters color re/green on the table and if it is left on red means you don't want meat. The price is also much more reasonable then the other Brazilian places in Houston. Two people can eat at Angus with a $45 groupon. Not everyone wants to spend $50 per person just for the food as other Brazilian places in Houston charge. I certainly don"t. Good food does not have to cost a fortune.

Not for a special occasion. Requested that my husband and I get seated in a quiet setting and then we get placed right between groups of people. Took a while to get our drinks and meat. The food is cooked medium rare, so unless you like your food still slightly kicking be expected to wait a while. Low quality utensils and everything really. Salad/sides bar is a joke. Most items are cold. The ceiling tiles are all mixed matched and ugly. You'd think for the price and must have reservations status, this place would be better.

I took my daughter there for her 25th birthday. If i had not already paid for it through Groupon, I would have turned around and walked out. What a horrible place. Just ruined my daughter's birthday. And the salad bar....what salad bar? cold green bean, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cheese. The side dishes were instant potatoes, rice and lentil soup and they were all in crock pots. The meat tasted terrible. And who eats grilled chicken hearts and tripe? ARGH!!!!

This was my first time at a Brazilian steak house and I was blown away by the service I received. I found out that you needed a reservation on Saturdays but I was still able to get a table. Was sat immediate and was told how it works. Made my self a delicious salad at the awesome salad bar. It wasn't supper fancy but I'm not a twat so it was good enough for me. They also had great beans, rice, and mashed potatoes. The servers brought around the first cuts of meat as soon as I flipped my card to indicate I was ready. The taste and juiciness of the meat was incredible and the pineapple was amazing. On top of it all they have the best lemonade EVER! The staff continuously made sure my drinks were full and asked if we had any special request. My plate never stayed empty. For the quality of the food I had and the excellent service I received is why I give this 5 stars. I'm picky as hell and I loved that place.

Firstly, I would have given fewer stars, but the lemonade is just so good. We have been to Angus at least 4 or 5 times now. Each time it just gets worse. After the first bad experience, we thought that maybe it was a fluke. Then, the very next time we went, it was a worse experience than before. The service is horrible, the meat is often overcooked (when you can get someone to bring it to you), and the salad bar just keeps getting smaller and smaller with each visit. On our last visit, we wanted my sister-in-law to experience the Brazilian Steakhouse as they do not have anything like that where she is from. We should have just gone ahead and paid full price at Pradaria or Fogo because she did not come away with great memories of Angus. She was looking forward to the lamb and it was so overcooked, you couldn't even chew it. We asked for some butter for the table and they brought out TWO pats of butter. For 4 people. Again, the best thing I can say about Angus is that the lemonade is delicious and they give you free refills (again, when you can get someone's attention to give you a refill). We will NOT be going back no matter how many Groupons or Living Social deals there are out there for this place.

Bad first experience, unwilling to try again. Went in on a Groupon after choosing to ignore the bad reviews hoping I would have a pleasant experience. After trying it, I can only agree with every negative comment on here; the only plus is that it is all you can eat, however, there are buffets that are much cheaper than this and have way better food. If you still choose to go you can't complain that you were not warned. I keep wanting to give it another shot, but new reviews keep coming up of how nothing has changed and it is still a terrible example of what a Brazilian Steakhouse should be.
