Snowscream - Limone e Fragola
In Portland, we are lucky to get an inch of snow, a couple of times over the winter months. Last weekend, we got inches upon inches, closing school early on Thursday and canceling weekend activities all over Portland. On Friday morning I threw some milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla into a bowl. Then I put on my boots and gathered 8+ cups of fresh, fluffy snow. After mixing the two bowls together, we proclaimed it "Snow Day Ice Cream for Breakfast Day."
If you think that was a hit, imagine when I did it all over again for dessert and added tablespoons of chocolate syrup. As I was enjoying my chocolate snowcream, it came to me, I had both fresh strawberries and Lemon juice in the fridge. Thus on Saturday afternoon we had a little Italian like gelato. My favorite flavors from my study abroad summer in Italy.
This weekend, inches of rain.
