I'm thrilled to have my first major feature published in the Sunday Post Magazine today. I hope this encourages more debate and action on reducing plastic and other forms of waste on beaches, and marine environments and encourages people to reduce their plastic usage.
Ridding Hong Kong’s beaches of plastic waste is a gargantuan task, requiring cooperation from the government, shops and restaurants – and every single one of us. Angie Bucu heads to the frontline of the battle against marine litter

To sit or stand?

I’m standing while I write this post, actually I’ve been standing at my desk all day, writing, on the phone, emailing and researching. Why am I standing? Well it appears, and the evidence is mounting, that standing while you work is much better for your…
Well it appears, and the evidence is mounting, that standing while you work is much better for your health. The idea has been around for a few years and some research has affirmed the benefits.

Are we crazy for doing this? A question that crossed my mind more than once as I powered on and up through the night during the annual MoonTrekker race across Lantau Island on October 10.   A tough course is nearly an understatement for the grueling 43km…
I want to share my post training and what should have been post event therapy. yes, should have been! because I didn't follow the post training regime I had perfected over the past couple of months and as a result recovery was oh sooo much longer and more painful.

Inspired to grown your own food? I discover that the edible garden craze has most definitely arrived on our shores.  Throughout Hong Kong, people are learning how to grow their own food on balconies, rooftops and in community allocated allotments.
