We're "secretly" making some fun Christmas gifts for friends this year. I think the girls will love this pink lemonade herbal bath fizzy!
There is nothing quite like a warm bath with soothing herbs and salt in it. Why not add some herbal bath fizzy to take it to the next level. This bath soak is super fun and also makes a great gift!

Does the idea of using a vapor rub that has petroleum jelly in it, make you uneasy? It does me, so I've been making homemade vapor rub for our family every cold and flu season for several years. You can too.
Vapor rub is great during the cold and flu season, but most is made with a petroleum byproduct and the natural ones cost an arm and a leg. But with a few simple ingredients and just a couple of minutes you can make your own safe and effective natural vapor rub.

Needing a make ahead desert that is easy to serve to a crowd? This cheesecake recipe is just that!

I used this simple project to give my 6 year old her first sewing machine lesson. Yep, it really is that simple.
A strip quilt is an incredibly easy project to help teach children to sew. In just a couple of hours, your child will have a useful item and learned a skill

Most of my preserving knowledge has come from doing it wrong and having to "learn a lesson." But I've learned lots of lessons and I'm sharing them with you. #OrganicHarvest15
Preserving the harvest doesn't have to be overwhelming or boring. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your efforts.

A few years ago our son made cribbage boards for each family in our family (if that makes any sense ) out of a large cedar log. I cannot tell you how many times we've pulled them out to play while visiting family. It was such a thoughtful gift.

We have a full tutorial on the blog along with some printable game instructions in case you need a refresher.
