Lace has been a bridal tradition for centuries. It is naturally very sexy, yet when designed tastefully, it also adds a touch of class and sophistication.

Because most superior laces have a romantic vintage quality, I find that they are very versatile for an array of different wedding dress styles. While lace is stunning for an elegant affair, I also find lace to be quite perfect for a country estate or cottage wedding. Woodland, barn, and garden weddings also call for a touch of lace. If sexy enough, lace gowns can even be perfect for a beach wedding.

French and Italian laces are the way to go because their quality is outstanding. It’s all in the feel: A soft and gentle touch is what you should be looking for. At Angelo Lambrou New York, we only use the finest of European laces to perfectly complement the high quality of our handmade wedding gowns.

Uta is an example of one of our lace wedding gowns. It features a strapless, body-hugging silhouette with an all-lace overlay and a long train. Perfect for an elegant loft wedding!

Anette is another example, featuring a plunging v-front neckline with dainty cap sleeves and a low back in French Chantilly lace. Details include delicately pleated lace on the waistband emphasizing the waistline. It’s Edwardian meets nouveau classic, perfect for a vineyard, farm, or any rustic and romantic setting.

We make one-of-a-kind wedding dresses designed around the bride. We take into consideration your individual taste as well as your chosen venue. It all starts with a chat on the couch over a glass of wine. Come by our New York atelier in the East Village and let the magic begin!
