This morning I heard Danni Minogue speak at the Business Chicks breakfast in Melbourne (they let guys in.... who knew!?!). It was a fun breakfast with some great networking opportunities.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Danni but some takeaways that I appreciated:

When people tell you 'you can't do it*' - laugh in their face and do it anyway - this was a recurring theme - a 'can do' spirit and a commitment to your vision and dream in spite of the challenges was a great message to hear.

You can have everything - but you can't do everything - this one stood out most to me and rings true. You don't need to be an expert in every aspect of your business to have success. The key is to find (or attract) the right people to work with.

All in all it was a fun morning which gave me a little inspiration and some great new friends and contacts.

Thanks to Emma Isaacs and the Business Chicks team (and to +Valerie Khoo for the invitation).

Personally I don't know how it could be anything but a five star review. The iconic Eiffel Tower is a lovely thing to behold. I visited Paris with my boyfriend a couple of years ago, and one of the most fun things and my favorite parts was just looking up and seeing part of it sticking up above a church, or a business, or between 2 buildings. We spent our last day there actually visiting the tower, and we did enjoy the tour we took, but we missed seeing the tower on the horizon since we were standing on it! Lol. So, go to Paris and be sure to go and visit the Eiffel Tower. We loved it!

Stay May 26, 2013 - Staff on duty when we arrived were very helpful. Our room was not ready as we were several hours early, but they stored our luggage and got us in the first available room about 3 hours ahead of regular check in. Breakfast is buffet type, but very nice selection and variety. Rooms could use a few more drawers and or hangers, but are laid out nicely, reminds me of Ikea style. Very efficient. The first map we got was not of the area the hotel was in, more of Paris, so be sure if you are walking and exploring to get a map of the surrounding area which they can print out for you. Cleaning staff does a good job and restocks rooms well, but was not able to help us with any questions. Front desk was better for that.
