Rock Crab sitting on the cliff of the ocean

Photographing rock crabs in Zanzibar on the cliffs was quite a little adventure. How these creatures can stand the big waves hitting the cliffs, when the water was gone they were still sitting on the same spot.
After the fun of photographing them, I was of course as well wet from head to toe :)
The camera system survived as well, which was a great plus. Just needed to be cleaned afterwards very much to get the salt water off!

So honored to be with Peter Delaney at the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017" ceremony in the Natural History Museum London. He won the 3rd time the prestigious title "Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017" in the category Portrait with his wonderful emotional filled image "Chimpanzee Dreaming". #WPY53
What a fantastic night at the Natural History Museum in London.
So well done Peter, I take my hat in front of you :D
Read the full interview Peter gave for the Brand LUC8K.
Wildlife Photographer Of The Year 2017 Award For LUC8K Ambassador Peter Delaney
Nature photographer Peter Delaney and LUC8K ambassador has received the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017 award, the oldest and most prestigious honor in his profession.
He accepted this prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year award in the category of “Animal Portraits” on October 17 at a ceremony at the Natural History Museum in London wearing the new LUC8K handmade designer leather belt with the metal buckle that serves as both the lucky number “8” and the infinity symbol.
“To be nominated for the WPOY awards is an honor and privilege,” Delaney said. “The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is one of the oldest and most prestigious nature competitions in the world and is considered the benchmark in nature photography.”
Delaney received the award for his black and white portrait photograph “Chimpanzee Dreaming,” which is appropriate since chimpanzees are his favorite pictorial subject to capture in the wild.
“Photographing our closest relative the chimpanzee will always be one of my favorite adventures,” he said. “I have never felt so aware of myself photographing wildlife as I have whilst photographing Chimpanzees. They are so eerily humanlike in their behavior it can be sometimes both unnerving and exciting.”

Polar Bear At The Edge

of the Artic sea. This exclusive animal we found on one island in Svalbard wandering around to find food. This polar bear came close to the shore to have a better look at us. He eventually had that look :))

Fishing Boat Sails between Icebergs

Fisherman coming home with their boat sailing a dangerous way through drifting icebergs in Greenland. It is not that easy to make your way through drifting icebergs! For sure not. When one flips over you better be far away!
